Have you noticed how much bigger the Presidential turkeys have gotten over the years. That one that Eisenhower pardoned was positively skinny compared to Marshmallow! :o)
I do not recognise the Christmas story and Chinese Duck what is it I have probably heard it but it does not come readily to mind.
It is an American movie called "The Christmas Story" with Darin McGavin about a little boy who wanted a BB gun for Christmas. The dogs ate their Christmas turkey so they ended up at the only place in town that was open, a Chinese restaurant. Funny movie...you need to find it.
One of my girls made cranberry bread pudding with bourbon and spice whipped cream. It was a big, big hit.

:0) I only posted that one because a) The turkey intrigued me and b) for history purpose as this thread is tonight I thought I ought to have just one photo of that era
I will get the recipe and FReepmail it to you. It was a huge hit. If I forget to warn you when I send it, you do not need to whip the entire quart carton of whipping cream. There was so much of it that we were going to go out on the street and find some people to help finish it off.
Did you see your mum today. Hope she is continuing to gain her strength.
