Too bad that isn't on TV.
C_Span might cover it
That's gonna leave a stain.
Hate to miss this one.
some-one get the tape and post.
Tell him to wear a Burger King hat...
Pfftt ~
Hitch by KO within 20 minutes.
Ritter is out of his league. Hitchens will eat him alive. Regardless of Hitchens' politics, he's a very smart guy. Scotty needs to stick with little girls.
In case someone forgot...

An attorney for Scott Ritter confirmed that the outspoken former U.N. weapons inspector, who says President Bush should be impeached for his Iraq policy, was arrested a year and a half ago.

Norah Murphy said Ritter was arrested in the upstate New York town of Colonie in June 2001, but she would not respond to allegations that he was charged with soliciting an underage girl on the Internet. Ritter lives in the Albany, N.Y., suburb of Delmar.
The Schenectady Daily Gazette and New York Daily News report Ritter allegedly had an online sexual discussion with someone he thought was an underage girl. The "girl," however, turned out to be an undercover police investigator, according to the Daily News, whose sources spoke on condition of anonymity.
WTEN-TV, the ABC affiliate in Albany, is reporting that Ritter contacted the "teen-age girl" twice within a three-month period in 2001, and that he underwent court-ordered sex-offender counseling from a psychologist in New York's capital.
Sources tell the Albany Times-Union that Ritter actually had two run-ins with police. The first occurred in April 2001, as the former Marine reportedly drove to a Colonie business to meet what he thought was a 14-year-old girl. He was reportedly questioned by officers, and released without a charge.
Oooh boy! Will it be televised or videotaped?
I see this as "No Contest" -- Ritter is either a bought-off traitor or being blackmailed for his "proclivities." Either way, Hitchen has him by the nads, no matter what.
The Right's favorite atheist!
"In 1990, Scott Ritter divorced his wife to marry 19 year old Marina Khatiashvili, a Russian Model recruited and used by the KGB to sexually compromise US Intelligence Sources in the 1980's during the Nuclear Disarmament Period."

When asked: " Why didn't we find WMD's?" He responded:
"On finds, the key word here is "find." UNSCOM could pursue a lead and approach an inspection target from various angles to cut off an escape route, but at some point, the Iraqis would hold up their guns and keep us out. . .knowing that as long as there were armed guards between us and the weapons, we would never be able to "find," as in "put our hands on," the weapons of mass destruction. The western press mindlessly took this up and became the Iraqis' tool."
So where did the WMD's go?
Tierney gives a detailed answer which can be summarized in a word --
"Syria":
In Iraq's case, the lakes and rivers were the toilet, and Syria was the back door.
I am 15 minutes from it by car...anyone interested in a Freep against Ritter the pedophile??
I hope C-Span covers it...it should be a free-for-all.
Not a fair fight. Ritter is pathetic.
Scott is a very disturbed man, and a Traitor
btt
I can't wait to hear the results of this debate. The child abuser Ritter doesn't stand a chance.
He was for WMD's one day and agin' 'em the next. Flip-flopped faster than the Kerryster. Musta had something to do with his Iraqi 'angel', I'll bet'cha -- the one who hired him to do a puff piece.
"Ritter accepted $400,000 in funding two years ago from an Iraqi-American businessman named Shakir al-Khafaji. Ritter used the money to visit Baghdad and film a documentary purporting to tell the true story of the weapons inspections."
Link for the above quote:
I enjoy your threads so much that I'd feel guilty if I didn't try to help when I can.
He was too hot to trot during the runup to the war to convince people the President was wrong about Iraq. I, for one, still think there was WMD's and they were taken to Syria.
His story is indeed a strange one. He came out of the gate looking like a contrarian against the Hans Blix's of the world and then he turned around on a dime. Weird.
Too big a turnaround for my taste; and when he went to Baghdad and made his speech shortly before the war I was even more convinced something was not right. Sure would love to see this debate, Hitchens is much smarter than Ritter and can be every bit as testy when he wants.
On reflection though, I'm not so sure Hitchens should dignify Ritter by treating him as an equal. Ritter is a clown. Hitchens, for all his faults, is a serious man.
Good thing Hitchens doesn't have a daughter. Scott might want to take her to Burger King.
Absolutely right - Ritter is a useless traitor and there's no two ways about it. There was a six month period before the shooting war began giving Saddam and his French, German and Russian collaborators plenty of time to remove as much evidence as possible. They were all trying to buy time, and I am sure W was fully aware of all that. If our satellites weren't fixed on Iraq during that period, then someone in the CIA needs to be in prison for gross criminal negligence. All that said, WMDs have been found in Iraq in great quantities. However, we haven't found any fully assembled ticking A-bombs. I guess that is the only type of WMD that would impress the Lefties now. Bottomline is that the Enemy Within has a moving target of criticism. No matter what is done or not done by Bush, he will be wrong and evil. These people scare me much more than Al-Qaeda because they and the MSM actually do have experience in weakening our country's resolve to survive.
That will happen only if they can drag scottie out of burger king.
Hitchens does have a daughter. In fact I think he has two.
I agree and I can't imagine they didn't have satellites trained on the countryside -- I've also wondered why we didn't intercept those trucks that kept moving in and out of Syria during that time.
I think it is because of who was driving those trucks, or at the very least, helping out (Germans, French & Russians). We didn't want to escalate an already volatile situation by creating an international incident with so-called "allies." Overall, I think Bush was just trying to buy time -- can't blame him for that as long as he knows the truth about the turncoats. I have seen pictures of inside a nuclear sub owned by Pakistan and all the crew were big blonde haired fair-skinned guys (Russians?). Hmmmm
Sad that the safety of this world has now boiled down to money and who has the most power.
Is there anyway you can find out if the debate will be videotaped? I'm dying to see this!
