Bruce Willis to Make Pro-American Movie About Iraq War
The National Ledger ^ | 11-27-05 | CK Rairden

Hollywood A-lister Bruce Willis is set to buck the Hollywood trend of running from the heroics of the American troops in Iraq and is set to make a pro-war film about the American soldier.

In the film, American soldiers will be accurately depicted as the brave fighters for freedom and democracy that they are, according to a report in the Sunday Times UK.

The patriotic actor recently put his money where his mouth is - offering up a million dollar bounty on the heads of Islamofascists Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

That certainly is a niche that hasn't been addressed by Hollywood.

Expect a "Passion of the Christ" blockbuster that will leave Hollywood experts aghast at the low and peasant-like tastes of the American public.

Good for Bruce.

It'll be nice to be able to see a new movie again.

I've often wondered about that. By my rough count, there are about 5 movies about Bosnia, one movie about Somalia, a few about the Gulf War, none about Panama, one about Grenada, a few dozen about Vietnam, 15 about Korea, and 205,159 movies about World War II.

There's money to be made there. Just like Fox News, stepping in to fill a conservative vacuum in a liberal media world, you'd figure that at some point the allure of making money would be enough for Hollywood to crank out a few good war movies.

It will be nice to go to a movie again. 'Passion...' was the last one for me.

If Bruce does it right, this will be one of the highest grossing films in history.

And the libs won't understand. They will call it a 'tantrum'.

Hence I predict he will rake in millions as did "The Passion".

Good for him. Too bad he numbers among the few hollywood people with any balls and cares about his country. The rest of the ignorant pampered "actors" don't like the U.S. because we have so much while others have so little. They, of course, don't count because they are different and special. urp

" one about Grenada "

Well, there is one made about Grenada, well, sort of.
HeartBreak Ridge ( Clint Eastwood ) was loosely based on what happened in Grenada.

I would take a run at it just because it's Bruce Willis and it would be quite nice to see that perspective just once more before I die.

If Bruce does it right, this will be one of the highest grossing films in history.

Why make it one? There are enough stories out there right now to make a stack of great movies. The stories of some of the Special Forces teams in Afghanistan would make a dozen good blockbusters. Iraq too, if you could keep the politics out of it and just make good movies.

If any Hollywood producer out there wants to become obscenely rich with little risk, other than to your reputation as a die hard liberal, please let me know. Submit to that spark of shameless greed within you, and let's make some movies that America will enjoy watching.

Oceans 12 had Bruce depicted as an idiot and all the cool actors were brilliant. Bruce was acting as an idiot within an enclave of the some of the most left wing actors in Hollywood... that was how they made him out to be and he was acting that way for good reason, for more than just the sake of the script, the cheap laugh, etc.... But now it is different and he ain't acting.

Who`s directing the film? Before I consider breaking my 10 year absence from any movie theater, I want to get more info.

I will predict the film is boycotted by antiwar folks, and there will be antiwar protesters screaming inside the theater while the movie is playing.

Anyone want to take me up on this?

My first thought was about "The Passion" as well. Willis' pro-military film will rake in hundreds of millions while Hollywood scratches its collective head. The media will portray it as dangerous, DUmmies will picket theaters, and the American people will flock to it.

The movie industry could end their slump immediately if they would tell those true stories that Americans are eager to hear. Instead, Hollywood gives us Syriana, Fahrenheit 911, and Jarhead. It's like they want to lose millions.
