Hollywood A-lister Bruce Willis is set to buck the Hollywood trend of running from the heroics of the American troops in Iraq and is set to make a pro-war film about the American soldier.
In the film, American soldiers will be accurately depicted as the brave fighters for freedom and democracy that they are, according to a report in the Sunday Times UK.
The patriotic actor recently put his money where his mouth is - offering up a million dollar bounty on the heads of Islamofascists Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri or Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Why should they make any decent movies the heartland wants to see? Thay receive millions in taxpayer subsidies, as much or maybe more than the cotton industry (which is akin to Big Tobacco.)
As long as they are getting tax dollars, they will continue to spill forth crap.

It will be a blockbuster and get 0 nominations from the Academy of Motion Pictures. Ever since 'American Beauty', such awards are meaningless. But even before then , I've been skeptical about people who invent awards to give to themselves. At any rate, Bravo Bruce! I'll see the movie and buy video.

I will predict the film is boycotted by antiwar folks, and there will be antiwar protesters screaming inside the theater while the movie is playing. Let 'em scream. It exposes them for what they are, and that's a good thing.
I remember that a lot of leftists tried their very best to stop "The Passion."

I will predict the film is boycotted by antiwar folks, and there will be antiwar protesters screaming inside the theater while the movie is playing. My stepfather and some friends of his went to see a new war film (a long time ago) that was being touted as "anti-war". They showed up and the theater was full of hippies and flower children, all ready to sing the praises of the new "anti-war" film.
Then the screen was filled with an American flag, and George C. Scott gave the opening speech of the film. Stoned silence reigned in the theater. The "anti-war" film was 'Patton'. Oops.
(George C. Scott refused to accept his academy award for his performance. It really was supposed to be an anti-war film).

If you read "The Punisher's Ball" (which Willis attended), about one-third down the page on this site, you can see the movie coming and the unit and people it will likely be about. Also seems likely that the author [Yon] would be portrayed.

Tell me about it. If we go to the movies as a family anymore, we go to the drive-thru. $10 for a carload, we take our own popcorn, candy and drinks. Cheap night and we all get in for $2 each. :)

This is wonderful. I wonder how Hollywood will explain it when this movie is a blockbuster?
Guys, we have to make sure that this movie goes off the charts.

The stories of some of the Special Forces teams in Afghanistan would make a dozen good blockbusters.YES! I've always wondered why no one made a movie about the guys asking for saddles and ending up at the end playing that Afghan game on horseback with the goat!

I remember that posters and flyers were free for the Passion of the Christ - hopefully we can get posters and help with the free advertising for this movie and be a positive support system for Willis and our troops! I'll put up posters and hand out flyers if they're out there and gladly pay to go watch a positive film about our troops.

It would be great to see both Bruce and Mel Gibson make a movie together someday.
As someone who saw "Hudson Hawk" on the first weekend, I will pay lots of money to see that movie several times. Then I will buy the DVD.

Expect a "Passion of the Christ" blockbuster that will leave Hollywood experts aghast at the low and peasant-like tastes of the American public. Randall Wallace and Mel Gibson set it straight with "We Were Soldiers" about Vietnam, now Bruce Willis is doing it for The Iraq War.
Good for Bruce.

Some libs with high degrees of inflammation will throw eggs at the screen. And some vet with a high degree of attitude will kick his ass.
