No damn way. Do we need highways and other infrastructure? You bet. Do we need to raise bonds/taxes to pay for it, instead of CUTTING SPENDING? No damn way.
Arnie tried that and lost, big time. The only thing to keep the socialists from advancing is to burn the state's credit limit on hard assets. If not roads and bridges the socialists will spend it on healthcare for Mexicans, career students, and more public employees with a vested interest in voting for socialists. The cheapest way to stop socialism at this point is massive debt.
