We used to call that guts so we could be gender equal. Why did it have to switch to a male only part of the anatomy?

Who says he had any honor as a Marine? Let him prove it to me. Who says those aren't "Kerry" purple hearts? I don't believe it because Murtha has been an anti-troop liberal for the last 20 years. He's an example of all that's bad about porcine politicians. Harrumph.

We went through the same crap with Cindy Sheehag with everyone kissing her butt until they realized what a traitor she really was. I prefer to say that military service then does NOT give you a free pass now. Many a military or intelligence man has gone over to the enemy.

If Republicans were one-tenth as rough with the congressman who wants to withdraw troops in the middle of a war as they are on a congresswoman who calls it cowardly to withdraw troops in the middle of a war, we might have a functioning Republican Party.

Hell yeah.

Can't Republicans disagree with a Democrat who demands that the U.S. surrender in the middle of a war without erecting monuments to him first?

The vote was 403-3. The Republicans disagreed with Murtha on POLICY, while making it clear that they were not personally attacking the man. That was the correct approach. Ann, however, has bought into the notion that it's not enough to disagree on policy; vicious personal attacks are necessary. That's 'Rat logic; we're better than that (although she isn't).

In order to make her point, she had to quote Henry Hyde on his praise only, and leave out the remark that "among his great qualities, infallibility is not one of them." Ann has become an intellectually dishonest attack dog who plays to emotion, not logic. She's no better than the 'Rats who can't do anything other than launch personal attacks.

I can't wait for the day when the President makes Ann his Sister Souljah.

I don't believe it because Murtha has been an anti-troop liberal for the last 20 years.

If you had bothered to pay attention to his career, or at least to his words on the House floor during the debate on the resolution, then you would know that Murtha has consistently advocated MORE spending and MORE troops for 20 years.

He is wrong on Iraq, but to claim that he has been anti-troop for 20 years is just ignorant.

Whether the call for immediate withdrawal is cowardly or not is not the point.

The point is that the call for immediate withdrawal will be seen as cowardly by our enemy.

What bothered me about the overly fulsome praise of Murtha by both the President and the Veep is that a. it was labeled "an apology" by the MSM, and b. neither the President nor Dick Cheney had said anything about Murtha's "patriotism" for which they needed to apologize, or even explain. The "counterattack" that Mssrs Bush and Cheney were spearheading wasn't about Murtha's cut and run plan, it was about the Democrats who were attempting to "revise history" by creating the myth that "President Bush lied" about the presence of WMDs in Iraq - an entirely distinct and separate issue. While it's true that Mr. Cheney rejected Murtha's strategic vision (or lack thereof), and even went so far as to suggest (IIRC) that we not "cower" before terrorists (a word that was "parsed" into calling Murtha a "coward" by the MSM), the point that the Vice President (and Mr. Bush) were trying to drive home had nothing to do with Murtha's "retreat over the horizon" proposal.

The RATs fight with knives, bar stools, chains, and handguns. The GOP "fights" with one hand tied behind their back and with their head implanted up their butts.

The Democrats play Fight Club, while the Republicans play bridge.

She didn't say that. She took great exception to those who seem to feel it's necessary to kiss the Dem's butts before you can say anything is wrong with their policies or worldview.

Your parsing of her words says more about you than her.

We also know what Rep. Randy Cunningham , R-Calif., did to earn his medals. One of only two American Navy aces that the Vietnam War produced, Cunningham shot down five MiGs, three in one day, including a North Vietnamese pilot with 13 American kills.

Cunningham shot down Colonel Tomb? Thats pretty bad@$$.

She is the only one with 'balls'... the rest should hang their head in shame...

We've all heard about people having guts or balls. But do you really know the difference between them? In an effort to keep you informed, the definition for each is listed below... GUTS- is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being assaulted by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: "Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?" BALLS - is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the balls to say: "You're next."

I hope this clears up any confusion on the subject.

Schmidt's precise words were: "I received a call from Col. Danny Bubp. He also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message, that cowards cut and run, Marines never do." Bubp later said -- pointlessly -- that he was not calling Murtha a coward. Neither was Jean Schmidt. (These guys are very brave facing down the VC, but cower before the MSM.)

Our guys hand their manhood to the MSM on a silver platter. It's ugly.

Sorry...don't agree with Ann on this one. Murtha was voicing his opinion, albeit horrible one. By saying he's a war hero, you're just giving him the respect that he has the right to talk about war because he's been there...done that.

On the other hand, Cunningham's war service has nothing to do with the pickle he's in now. By that measure, should we be more lenient with lawbreakers if they've had a distinguished military record? If someone raped your daughter, would you care that he shot down 5 MIGs during the Vietnam War?

Murtha and Cunningham...apples and oranges...and the orange is going to jail.

You seem to believe that we have statesmen in office. You are wrong. Their priorities center only upon themselves. This is true of Democrats AND Republicans. Children need to be scolded when they behave like ...children. I admonish the whole fat-ass American population who would rather see who is "the Biggest Loser" than wakeup and smell the truth that there are murdering savages that would glady crush their way of life, regardless of its debauched and pathetic way. Unfortunately we have a treasonous, self-centered, Godless coalition of Leftist scum-suckers who actively plan on facillitating the murder of the American dream. These are the more dangerous of the two, solely because as long as we have the better people of our country who believe in self-sacrifice and honor (ie something greater than themselves), militarily , these LIVING FREAKIN' HEROES, will not allow us to lose from outside our country. It really is the insidious enemy within that will break us; without them, Moo-slime Joe doesn't have a chance at waxing my car, let alone killing my family.
So -- Murtha is a coward and a POS, solely for aiding and abetting the enemy, so he can have his 15 minutes with Chairman Mao-Pelosi.
Sorry to offend your sensibilities, but I think it is time we revive an old tradition of debating the truth in the open, especially in the people's forum of the House of R. And for those brave enough to "call a spade a spade" I'm sorry if they get raked over the coals and lose an election. America is more important than any one person's job security.
A lot of people at this forum need to re-watch Zell Miller's speech at the convention. I'd be happy to facilitate the viewing.

Emily Salisbury, Executive Director of UCONN College Republicans, will be on FOX News Channel's the O’Reilly Factor tonight (12/2) at 8PM (Channel 31 for campus cable). She will be discussing Ann Coulter coming to UConn.

Should be interesting.

The media has made it to where any criticism of the insane policy of surrender is "questioning someone's patriotism".

The media didn't make it this way, it simply is. If someone demands an immediate pull out then the logical question is whether they are stupid, ignorant, or simply unpatriotic.

The problem is that we have accepted the premise that it is wrong to question the patriotism of people who act unpatrioticaly.

In the war of ideas the main weapon of the left is brow beating people into not saying anything to offend them. Our main weapon is to be honest about what they are desperately trying to obfuscate.

I would be interested in any info you have on Rep. John Murtha in regard to "...refuses to release his medical records showing he was entitled to his two Purple Hearts". This discussion reminds me of Mary Jo Kopechne and the question, is Senator Kennedy only guilty of Manslaughter or Murder 1, and why aren't we asking those questions. http://www.ytedk.com/chapter5.htm#farrar. If Senator Kennedy is guilty of manslaughter, Senator Byrd is a member of the KKK, Rep. Pelosi is a darling of Organized Labor and yet she owns a business that is not only non-union but has fired people for trying to organize a union representation, why aren't we outing these people. Has anyone out there read the book Do As I Say (Not As I Do) : Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy (Hardcover)
by Peter Schweizer yet?
