They seem to be getting desperate, spinning out of control, fabricating stories left and right.

Nice to see Stammering George and his clown posse think there's no choice but to surrender to invasion.

Pathetic little men.

Put employers who hire illegals in jail-for some time. They will get the message. My sister in law told me when the company she worked for found out there would be 1 10,000 dollar fine per illegal per day they worked, all undocumented workers were let go. Repubs want cheap labor at the expense of our country. Maybe the time is here for a third party.

Taking Chertoff's advice on immigration is like asking Cindy Sheehan how to prosecute a war.

If Chertoff is not up to the job, he should resign and find somebody who is willing to do it.

On the contrary, Chertoff is doing exactly the job he's been put up to by the administration. It just isn't fooling anyone.

Don't tell me these lies about a worker program. It is pure hogwash and Bush and Chernof know it.

Sure it is. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions who came here "temporarily" through the H1-b program years ago and have never left. There's no will to find and deport them nor will there be for the future millions of guests.

After the "guest worker's" time expires, what iron-clad guarantee do we have that he will go home?

You got it wrong. You can have iron-clad guarantee that they will stay. And in addition to the anchor babies, you will get relatives as well.

If we don't have a temporary worker program, I think it's going to be extraordinarily difficult to ask our Border Patrol agents and our ICE agents to stem the tide that is driven by a huge economic engine of employers looking for people who can work [in jobs that] won't be done by Americans," Chertoff told reporters during a briefing on the administration's Border Security Initiative.

I am sick of the apologists that have facilitated this mass illegal activity and are looking for excuses to continue or expand it.

A Nice tall triple fence with towers and scanning lights would "stem the tide"

The whole idea of a "legal" guest worker program will never work because they will fade into the population when the "visas "expire. Just as the politicians with hands out to employers do now, they will ignore that and allow them to continue to bleed the very people who are supporting that low wages now, you and I.

It is time for a third party , one that represents the people and not the special interests . I am sick of them all !

It could happen if the Whigs, I mean the GOP doesn't get with the program...
