Getting warmer. What if the sun and associated planetary disk as we know it is not the whole system? That's right, double stars are common as white rabbits in the winter.

"Scientists at the Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have coaxed six atoms into spinning together in two opposite directions at the same time, a so-called Schrödinger “cat” state that obeys the unusual laws of quantum physics."

Outstanding! Poorly described, but outstanding.

x^3 + 1 = 0
x = -1
x + 1 = 0
x^3 + 1 = x + 1

ok... dithering further...

x^3 = x * x * x
so:
X^3 - x = (x * x * x) - x = x * x = x^2
ok, so:
if x = -1
then x^3 - x = x^3 -(-1) = x^3 + 1
problem:
if x = -1, then x^2 = 1
whereas
X^3 + 1 = -1 + 1 = 0
0 and 1 do not equate

so... where next?

there is no "whole system" in the absolute sense unless one includes the WHOLE [expletve] universe.

less-than-absolute-patterns on a much smaller scale exist quite happily, nevertheless.

No. No foul. It's called "dividing out the root." It's only a foul for the specific value of x=-1; it's valid for all other values of x.

(x-1)(x**2+x+1)=x**3-1
(x+1)(x**2-x+1)=x**3+1

(x+1)(x^2-x+1)=x^3+1
(x^2-x+1)=(x^3+1)/(x+1)

um...
we're solving for "x" right?

Include it

Divide by zero

Don't know. Have you stopped beating your wife lately?

Note: My question is as well motivated by what you have said so far as yours was by what I had said previously.

Use the quadratic formula or completing the square. (QV)

Transcend algebra! It is supposedly a closed and complete pattern, yet there appear a few illegal operations. Euclid never had a problem with geometric figures. It wasn't until Descartes reformulated the geometry with algebraic coordinates for increased power and effectiveness [use the Force, Luke] that the possibility of the Dark Side appeared.

"Have you stopped beating your wife lately?"

That ain't Biblical, at all.

Electrons do not move from one orbit to another of an atom, but disapear one place and appear instantaneously in another orbit.

The planetary model of electron behavior is not valid. It would be more accurate to say that electrons vibrate at one frequency, then suddenly without passage of time vibrate at a different frequency. There's no "movement" to another "orbit." There's no inconsistency.

There must be three. The Dark Side, the Good Side, and the Clueless Civilians. Otherwise, if there are only two, you get something like the American Two-party system blocking, stagnating and drifting toward the edge of the Abyss.

"Good" side, dark side, sheeple side, fireside, seaside

there are lots of sides.
and none.

it all depends on your point of view.
