Events in the Middle East are starting to sound an awful lot like a lead up to the war of Gog and Magog prophesied in the Bible. If youve read the article about this on our site, you know that a possible player in that war is Russia, who will form an alliance with Islamic countries to attack Israel.
If Israel does what it recently promised to do and attacks Iran before it can get Nuclear weapons, its not hard to imagine Russian weapons being used by the coalition nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 to launch an attack on Israel. However, some interpretations of this prophecy include Iraq in the coalition of nations, which would rule out the war of Gog and Magog starting any time soon. Whether this is a build up to a fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 or not, Irans nuclear program may lead to violence between nations that will change the politics and the landscape of the Middle East forever.
The long range missiles Russia is giving Iran should definitely be of concern to all of us. Unfortunately, I dont expect the EU or the U.S. to have the political will to do anything about it - anything more than make idle threats and draft resolutions, that is. Its probably up to Israel to protect itself, at least initially.
Russia has agreed to sell more than $1 billion worth of missiles and other defense systems to Iran, Russian news media reported Friday, a move expected to draw a heated reaction from the United States.
The Interfax and ITAR-Tass news agencies cited unidentified sources in the Russian military-industrial complex as saying that Russian and Iranian officials had signed contracts in November that would send up to 30 Tor-M1 missile systems to Iran over the next two years.
Interfax said the Tor-M1 system could identify up to 48 targets and fire at two targets simultaneously at a height of up to 20,000 feet.
The news agency quoted its source as saying the two countries had reached a deal on modernizing Irans air force inventory, as well.
A tip for the Iranians: Israel wins. Whether God miraculously protects them, as has happened in other Islamic/Israeli wars, or the Russian weapons function about as well as they did in Afghanistan, Israel wins.
A tip for Russia: It probably wasnt the smartest thing for Putin to give weapons to the friends of his enemy in Chechnya. The same Jihadist groups that are waging Jihad from Iran, with the full support of the Mullahs, are killing school children in Chechnya. Does Putin really believe Iran would hesitate for a second to give the Chechnyan rebels what they need to win a victory for Islam?
Putin ! wake the hell up now dude.....
Fool
Thanks for posting.
It figures. Ivan will do ANYTHING for a dollar, just like Clinton. Both crooked and care nothing abuot the consequences of their actions. Amazing similarity.
Nothing but expensive targets for our Boys.
The time is almost here
Putin, is feeding the alligator, hoping not to be eaten last.
Even if they incinerate Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, they can't destroy Israel. Tilting at windmills would be more to the point.
Reminds me of Chruchev: "The Capitalist will sell us the rope with which we hang them."
These words will echo when the Chenyians nuke Moscow.
:)....
For any Moose country to toss a nuke on Israel would make all Moosedom positively frenzied with glee. Then would the world finally gag and say it's had enough?
Russian weapons systems, buy all you want boys.
Since you have such excellant knowledge of weapons systems, I have located a large number of AMC Pacers which when properly equipted make excellant amored personnel carriers. Their kill ration is second only to the Ford Pinto.
Iran isn't going anywhere. To the west are its enemies the US and Iraq. To its east are its enemies the US and Afghanistan. To the north and south are the seas. It may launch a few missiles, but it will never seize territory as long as the US is in Iraq and Afghanistan. It's pretty much boxed in, and there's little need for a US invasion of any kind.
They might clap their hands in glee and ululate until dawn, but the dawn won't be the sun coming up: something bright and hot, but not the sun.
I think Putin is the Anti-Christ he to me, is a Sheep in Wolves Clothing...
Ping to my friend Gary!
Actually, I think he's ten lbs in a five lb bag
"and there's little need for a US invasion of any kind."
Until it has its nukes ready for provision to every terrorist group known to man, for shipboard delivery to New York, Chicago (up the MS), San Diego, Houston, London, and points east.
I would be a lot more concerned about what sneaks into Iran from our good pals in China.
