THOSE EVIL AMERICAN TROOPS FRIGHTENING THOSE POOR IRAQIS

Yesterday we noted that John Kerry was resorting to his old ways; bashing our men and women in uniform. On last Sunday's Face the Nation Kerry had this to say about the actions of American troops in Iraq: " ..... there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women ...."

Well, there you go. Now we have the Democratic Presidential candidate, The Poodle, applying the "T" word to our own troops in Iraq. Our men and women in uniform are "terrorizing kids and children, you know, women ...." This was a stark reminder of Kerry testifying before the congress decades ago telling his lies about the actions of American troops in Vietnam. On April 12, 1971 this same John Kerry told the congress that American soldiers in Vietnam had "raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned on the power, cut off limbs, blew up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan." In Iraq, our troops terrorize. In Vietnam, they cut off heads and randomly shot at civilians. Kerry being Kerry ... slamming and denigrating American soldiers.

Yesterday on the show a caller reminded me of a time when American "troops" did, in fact, knock down a door in the middle of the night and terrorized a child. It happened almost six years ago. Does anybody remember? A Democrat was in the White House, and the "Commander in Chief" of these particular "troops" was a female Democrat. The date was April 22, 2000. The terrorized child was Elian Gonzalez.

Side note: It's interesting to note that as soon as Kerry demeans the American troops, his handlers start trotting out that "decorated combat veteran" stuff. The question of Kerry's combat medals is still very much open ... including those band-aid Purple Hearts of his. You've heard of cut-and-run? Kerry in Vietnam was a story of scratch-and-run. He bailed out with a few scratches .... and left men of stronger moral character than he to stay and do the fighting.

The day he said this I was asking about that picture. Wasn't there a photo?

I wonder what Kerry said about it at the time.

"Frightening" is not the word Schumer used. He said "terrorizing."

And as Taranto of WSJ's Best of the Web has repeatedly points out, it's now been OVER 360 days since Kerry PROMISED to release his military records. Why the long face, John? Could it be that the Swift Boat Vets are RIGHT about your cheater Purple Heart medals????

"This was a stark reminder of Kerry testifying before the congress decades ago telling his lies about the actions of American troops in Vietnam."

Exactly.
And yes, the caller who reminded him about Elian was right on.

A caller on Limbaugh's show did it yesterday... Rush was thinking Waco... but that butchery was done during broad daylight.

I remember at the time, I was really troubled over the Elian debacle... and that I tended to side with the father. All those feelings went out the window when I saw the 'Nanny-Police' pull the kid out'ta the closet at gun-point.

I thought the Commander in Chief was the President, Clinton... not Janet Reno.

Here's what I found.

And remember little Elian Gonzalez? Kerry wants your vote no matter what you think about how Bill Clinton, Janet Reno and company sent the poor boy back to Fidel Castro's tropical gulag.

"I didn't agree with that," the Massachusetts Democrat insisted. The Herald reported: "But when he was asked to elaborate, Kerry acknowledged that he agreed the boy should have been with his father.

"So what didn't he agree with?" the paper wondered.

Here's all that Kerry could stammer: "I didn't like the way they did it. I thought the process was butchered."

I thought the Commander in Chief was the President, Clinton... not Janet Reno.

The only reason why Janet Reno stayed on for two terms was that she had stuff on slick Willie that the Monica-mating seemed blah.

It's one thing to say our troops are scary, another thing to say they are terrorists. Why he'd say either is beyond me, but don't whitewash what he said. He accused our troops of engaging in terror.
