WHISTLEBLOWER interviewed by voting rights advocate Brad Friedman [www.BradBlog.com] has claimed that the electronic voting machine maker Diebold is involved in all sorts of skullduggery.

The Diebold insider said he was once a staunch supporter of electronic voting but was stunned by seeing repeated efforts by Diebold to evade meeting legal requirements or implementing appropriate security measures.

Of course Diebold is rigging all the voting machines. It is part of the Bush plan to destroy the United States and turn us into U.N. slaves.

Just because an alleged attempt was made, does not imply that the attempt was successful.

For example, if the software were written such that if 150 thousand votes had been tablulated, each 10,000 democratic vote causes the total Democratic votes to be multiplied by 1.15 (up 15%), while each 10,000th vote by the Republicans causes the total Republican votes to be multiplied by 0.85 (down 15%).

This number would be high enough such that only an intensive (ie. non-humanly verifieable) testing method would catch it; and the total numbers at the end of the night would make 'sense' with the recorded number of voters.

Perhaps President Bush 'really' won 68% of the total vote, instead of 51%.

What was the role of this Diebold "insider"?

Toilet janitor, fourth floor.
You can't believe the conversations you overhear at the urinals.

Unfortunately the patch was not approved by the state of Georgia and it didn't actually repair one of the things that were wrong with the machine. Mysteriously Georgia voted in its first Republican governor. Diebold's chairman Wally O’Dell is a key fundraiser for President Bush.

As if the extreme leftist ideology on the national DemocRAT party had nothing to do with voters in Georgia voting for a Republican governor.

A real news story would be a disgruntled ex-employee who insisted Diebold was scrupulously honest

I wouldn't doubt that some of these machines *are* rigged. For the democrats.

Except in Washington state, where they simply 'manufacture' enough ballots to win after the votes are counted and tabulated the night before.

The shelf life of these tinfoiled hat theories just amazes me. They go away and then are resurrected with a new twist. I think that the Rats have an Office of Recycled Theories located next to the Office of Recycled Demagogues.

Gee, you think if we claim that Herr Friedman is involved in underhanded skullduggery (and offer absolutely no evidence to back it up) that those same people who take Herr Friedman's word as gospel will take our charges seriously?

Uh-huh...I didn't think so.

We cannot be surprised here. . .not even as to how they craft this into a Republican strategy. . .

I am sure Hillary is counting on these machines and a number of other machiavellian machinations - no doubt already in the works. . .to guarantee her power seat.

After following the links and reading the actual complaints, I'm not really seeing any allegations that add up to anything more than incompetence.

Which is a problem, of course. I'd be more inclined to worry about illegal votes from people who shouldn't be allowed.

Like felons. Or the dead.

After we tighten the screws on outright voting fraud, then I'll worry more about garden variety incompetence from equipment manufacturers.

I like to tell liberals every now and then that I used to work for diebold and helped rig elections.

Scary part is, they are always really quick to believe me.

How hard can it be to write a program that records votes? It's not splitting the atom.

Actually, whether or not Diebold is actually doing anything nefarious or not, there's nothing wrong with improving the security, transparency and integrity of the voting system. And hysteria over the issue is a useful way to justify and motivate whatever needs to be done to reduce/eliminate the sort of election fraud that Democrats are famous for.

And whenever Republicans lose elections they should have won, this story provides great ammunition to throw in the faces of the Dhims.

I love this line:

This corroborates a claim by Diebold contractor Rob Behler that a program patch titled 'rob-georgia.zip'

Makes it sound like the patch was "riggedgeorgiaelection.zip" when its probably his own rejected design.
