A Cuban friend told me these people are part of the "Committee for the Preservation of the Revolution." It was modeled after East Germany's secret police.

Cuba should be grateful that with the Soviet Union gone, we haven't decided to prosecute the economic pressures with greater vigor.
I find it ironic that the world complains about our prison camp at Guantánamo, without realizing there is a much bigger prison camp on the other side of the wire. The difference is ours has a Burger King.

I think CP should complain to Howard Dean. I bet Howard would defend their right to travel to Cuba.

People have told me that I can be quite sarcastic, and that I remind them of Ann Coulter{physically too!} I consider these comments as compliments, and one of my good friends pointed out that sarcasm is a sign of intelligence...I like it!

Your old neighbor should talk to my neighbor. Quite a different story here. My neighbor would likely take your neighbor to visit a cemetary.

some trip participants warning them of the legal repercussions of violating the travel ban: fines of up to one million dollars and ten years in prison.
There should be such a ban in place regarding civilians (such as Ramsey Clark) traveling to Iraq...

Hey Kristinn and Coop, I can't wait to come down, maybe next Friday -I just have to find the right "Cuban costume", I've got a couple ideas that would be quite good,"sarcastic",but very creative!More than I can say for the pink psycho _itches that show up to harass our brave soldiers. This news about them chickening out is an early Christmas gift, yes I said CHRISTMAS!
To: kristinn
We should let them go, then refuse their reentry to the USA. The law should have a provision for revoking a person's citizenship id they travel to Cuba...

No kidding. He asked if I knew anyone who had been to Cuba so I mentioned Don Feder. He said Feder's a Neo-con. Oh what's that code for?

As a result, Code Pink says several of the participants decided to cancel their plans to stand up against the Bush administration in solidarity with Fidel Castro.

What cowards! And of course, it's all Bush's fault.
Here's a good link to the history of the US embargoes of Cuba.
The commies of Code Pink will be even more resolved this week to "fight the evil Bush regime" at Walter Reed, brave grrrls and eunuchs that they are.
