So wait, now humans share DNA similarities with chimps AND dogs? I can understand a silly fallacy like the chimp DNA (which actually isn't as similar as they first said) being thought true because of their similar homology, but....dogs?

And if that isn't all, we're also very similar to the fruit fly!

And a lot of other mammals... It's a really high percentage for rats too.

"Scientists are publishing today the complete DNA sequence that makes a dog a dog, and it turns out to be uncannily close to what makes a person a person."

No biggie!

We're also told that man shares a full 50% of the same genes as a banana!

Both organisms need a method of reproduction, etc.

Man sharing genes with dogs? Yes, I believe it -- reminds me of Billy Clinton. Anywhere on anything -- never bothered Billy Boy.

That clears it up - we evolved from dogs. I wonder when we branched off from the apes that also must have evolved from dogs???

The Darwinists never fail to amuse me.

Well, that and the same recognizable remnants of retroviral intrusions into our common gene code...

Don't be obtuse. Dogs share a very similar gene set (they are mammals after all). Chimpanzees share a 98% identical sequence. Those two things are vasty different.
