The strange part of this is that most of our elected officals have a vast amount of genes traced back to the Doo-Doo bird. Soory to insult the Doo-Doo bird but the truth must be told.

Mammalian systems are remarkably similar, hence it's not surprising that we should share many genes. From a broader perspective, all life on planet earth coexists in the same environment and hence would share genes to various degrees.

Many Japanese cars also have many parts in common (ie digital clocks, etc), yet nobody wants to argue that they arose from a common ancestor.

Similarity of design does not imply similarity of origin unless you presuppose evolutionary theory to be true.
