On the other hand, if a leader looked at how many troops we need to server our military purposes, he would say, "We need 85,000 troops." Then he'd figure that would mean pulling 81,810 troops. He probably would say 82,000 or maybe even 80,000. Certainly no-one would ever say 100,000.

That was my point. This is an obvious political statement and bears nothing on the actual battlefiled requirements. I doubt F'n would even know how many soldiers were serving and in what capacity. If the media would do it's job the first logical question would be which troops stay and which go, what parts of the country do you pull from? How did you arrive at 100,000? How do you handle the logistics of pulling out 100K troops? Do you relocate their supplies? Their heavy artillery? Tanks? Aircraft? Mr. Kerry hasn't thought of anything about the actual military engagement, he's worried about soundbites.

Case in point. Everytime Kerry speaks now he wraps his cut and run strategy around some referral to a timetable. Why? Because he called for a timetable and knows it's a terrible political statement, so he tries to repackage his timetable into everything else. He's a fraggin' rat and he cares little about the soldiers.

No I got that. I was with you. I was just adding a little more umph! Thanks for the credit, but I'm sure I'm not the first one to notice how overtly political the 100K number is on its face.

Senator John Kerry ..... Hey I remember that guy! Does anyone still take that idiot seriosly? Does he still think he is going to be president someday?

He's going to try in the primaries. I wonder... will Teresa pick up the "Kerry" surname she dropped after he lost, or will they carry on through the campaign as the Heinz-Kerry pair?

"We need a permanent base in the region and Iraq is very nicely situated. I surely wouldn't rule it out just because Kerry is "accusing" W of intending that."

We should have paid Somalia about $50,000,000 for the eastern third of their country, built a HUGE fence across it, and developed a HUGE Army, Navy, Air Force complex. Great spot for it.

Kerry's family and friends must have very sick senses of humor...

They really should break the news to him....that he was a joke of a candidate last time...and if he runs again...he will be SO not electable..

Kind of ironic, since the reason he was picked for the dem candidate was because he was assumed to be the MOST electable last time....LOL
