Oh... I'll get the popcorn and Shiner Bock.... no I think I'll go with Shiner Hefeweizen.... this is gonna be neat.

I only wish I was in a stationary station above Iran when the fireworks go off.

Israel and Iran...let me think... rag head thug country that steals or bought all the technology bent on hatred or Jewish scientist and soldiers defending their country.... I think I'm gonna bet on Israel to do Iran, Syria and let the Indians take care of Pakistan.

what say you??? hahahahaa..

Chavez needs only to look at Panama and the cara de caca dictator that was there. If Iran gets smoked, there might be so much confusion that him having an "accident" will be overlooked.

I'm just trying to think of the comments made on this thread about the "world" condemning Israel.

uh..wrong. The f'ing Muslims have burned off all the goodwill by blowing up airplanes, chopping heads off, bombing tourists and generally being a pain in the a@#. Now if there is a bully in the neighborhood that will KILL you and has killed a couple of the people around your block, but nobody can 'prove' it or cares to prosecute..... and somebody else has the stones to walk on over and blow him away.... well you can say "that's awful" but inside everyone is letting out a sigh of relief.

For all the Muslims that think that there won't be retribution if this "jihad" is brought to America, one needs only to ask the Japanese what happened 60 or so years ago when we were "threatened" and not even attacked on the continent.

I say it's time to go into the Octagon and get it on.

Looking into my crystal ball, I see the Israeli response doing the job. France will cry, "Merde!" Europe will follow close and the UN will condemn Israel.

The Arabs will howl and I think Iran will open the spigot and spill out its Revolutionary Guards and suicide bombers into Iraq to hit our forces. Embolden, Syria will do the same.

Then, I hope, we stand as men and do rightly what we should have done in the first place: Bomb Iran and Syria (And any others who get in the way!) back to the stone age.

I regret the cost, whether light or heavy, to our brave armed forces, but it needs to be done.

However, the cloud over this in my crystal ball is the Democrats and their cohorts will go their normal traitorous way and lose the whole ball of wax for us.

Then I see the end of the United States and a new dark age overtaking the Earth as radical Islam becomes the dominate force for the next few hundred years.

I will be in my grave then, hopefully with a well represented group of terrorists sideboys to show I made 'em pay to kill me...

"Panama and the cara de caca dictator that was there."

OK, so I have "unfortunate skin."
But it's the person inside that counts, right?

To hell with politics. It's very possible militarily and would do more for democracy than let islamists fester until they deploy the "Islamic bomb".

That being so, they ought to do the right thing and turn Terhan into a glazed parking lot.

I've been thinking about what Israel might do lately and so far my best guess is a decapitation strike, kill the Iranian leaders and hope saner heads prevail.

Problem is, any strike by Israel will be an act of war and you know there will be a response.

Sorry, I don't understand the "Standing Wolf" reference.

The use of nuclear weapons is what I'm concerned about. Once that threshold is crossed there is no going back. And when you have a bunch of jerkoffs who think they're on a mission from God, what you've really got is a receipe for disaster

The State of Israel has demonstrated that when the hand is called, they know how to get busy.

I am guessing they have assets in place in Iran ready to do wet work.

given the leadership, iran will use everything they have left to attack israel if they can, and us interests in iraq if they cannot. either way a regional war is in the making, and it is hard for me to fathom the geopolitics that follow the scenario above. I don't think china and russia can simply afford to let the us put a new regime in iran without some participation, which would add a whole new element of uncertainity to what could already be the death knell of israel (how many nukes to reduce all major population areas?)

i think it is a given iran has a very small number of nukes already (possibly of separate origin than their current program, this has been said for maybe 10 years and it makes perfect sense, just 1 nuke is a tremendous insurance policy against the US) and they are in enough different places that there is no way to remove their capability to use them.

A lot of posters on fr talk about 'taking iran out' without any recognition of the above risk, particularly the nuclear risk to israel, as well as to US forces or even europe depending on what they can put on which missile. Fortunately the people making this decision seem very cognizant of this, since I would assume a nuclear exchange is not the desired outcome of the adults in charge.

THe current leader of iran is quite scary in this context, can YOU (plural) see him in his bunker giving orders to his military (including destroyed or surrendered units) to fight the zionist enemy and great satan until the very end? I certainly can.

"Pakistan and Saudi Arabia would be put on notice."

In neither of these countries are we going to EVER get more pro-US governments than the ones that are in power now. A decent % of their people HATE us. Destabilizing or removing said governments, imperfect as they are, would be a disaster unless we are going to depopulate said countries, which we will not do.

well said...

again, to hell with the fascist bastards...but when they are armed with nukes, we should at least be aware that despite the west's moral justification...we very well may lose a few western cities in turn...

I say this not in tacit acceptance but as a sobering reminder of the consequences of eight years (92-00) of juvenile leadership in the WH. and yet many $hit for brains lib jews refer to slick willy as Israel's "best friend". BARF>

"Sorry, I don't understand the "Standing Wolf" reference."

Standing Wolf was a frequent, very hardline, poster for several years at luicanne and for a while at FR. He disappeared from the blogosphere, I don't know why, death or illness? He was a true patriot and his tag line was "Nuke the terrorist savages". I never "knew" him but respected most of his posted views. He was ex-military and never desired anything but total victory. So my tag line is really "previously owned" and I just want to give him the credit. I do however agree with the idea. If Israel turns iranian nuclear development sites into blots of glass, it will be ok with me.

I really do not think that it will be an aircraft attack. First, you must remember 2000 kilometers separates between Israel and Iran. I strongly believe that this will be a missile attack with a Jericho-2 missile. According to the Federation of American Scientists are more than 100 missiles(just a guess) and they can carry a very large yield nuclear weapon and can hit any Iranian target. It is mobile and not in a silo where they can be attacked easily. This missile has a hitting range any Middle Eastern targets into southwestern Russia. If the IDF wants to not risk any of the pilot lives, especially if they will going to travel a 2000 kilometer journey through extremely hostile territory to drop bombs, missiles would be my choice. Those IDF pilots might be used in case Syria wants to join in the attack. Iran has been making overtures to Syria and maybe thinking of forming some sort of alliance.
