I still maintain it was TankerKC who first broached the fraud only minutes into the CBS Show when he questioned the unusual format used on the date in the letter. I wasn't on the thread live but I did go over it carefully, and I agree with you.

Despite countless Midol suppositories, Jonathan Alter is still as nasty a bitch as Morford or Corn.

Mapes aside, it is simply astounding to me that anybody in the MSM would choose to defend Mapes/Rather/CBS on the TANG report. I remember the Dallas paper reporting that the National Guard had been investigated to death and that there was nothing there. Of course they went on to have near-daily front page headlines, above the fold, with the words 'Bush' and 'AWOL'.

Wouldn't want to let the facts get in the way of a juicy Republican scandal now, would they?

"I still maintain it was TankerKC who first broached the fraud only minutes into the CBS Show when he questioned the unusual format used on the date in the letter."TankerKC is apparently in the same situation as all those black women bus riders in Montgomery who refused to move, long before the Rosa Parks event. Today not many remember their name and their stone image will not reside in government buildings.

It's no where as easy on your behind as Charmin.

They are not in the style that we used when I came in to the USAF. They looked like the style and format we started using about 12 years ago (1992). Our signature blocks were left justified, now they are rigth of center...like the ones they just showed. I was a Navy personnel clerk in the 70s. In the 90s word processing was widely available and probably contributed to format changes for all of the services.

Hey Buckhead, although Tanker's post about USAF format protocol started the skepticism, your post made it possible for anyone to investigate your grassroots suspicion of the font.
Within the next 48 hours, the tsunami of investigation engulfed the entire Internet. I even broke open my old handwriting analysis knowledge and found that the signatures were so blatantly wrong that mere copies of the docs were enough to convict.
Here is my thread on the subject:
A look at the Killian signatures on the CBS documents

It fills me with wicked joy to watch these lying Leftists hung out to dry. Reading their meepings about how "unfair" it is when someone calls them out on their BS - and they can't back it up with facts - always causes a sadistic grin to light up my features.
They have been given a free pass to lie to and manipulate the public for too long, and I admit taking GREAT pleasure in watching them squirm like the true-believing Marxist, totalitarian vermin they really are.

I bet if rush played the Network news with a laugh track it would go over very very well. You'd be amazed at how effective a well-edited and well-placed laugh track can be in making self-important MSM talking heads sound utterly ridiculous.

Well, the cancer has not eaten all of Alter's brain yet. Pretty brutal on Mapes and CBS, but the attack on Buckhead was unfair. Buckhead was a hero in this story.
