LOL!
Heh.
Great pix! Thanks.
Actually, I believe Buckhead correctly pointed out that proportional spacing was not widely available not that it did not exist. Buckhead is not the one spreading falsehoods and certainly did not do it anonymously.
Jonathan Alter is a Big Fat Liar
Jonathan Alter: "The blogger's anonymous assertion, within hours of the broadcast, that the proportional spacing and type font of the Killian memos did not exist in those days was only one of many falsehoods spread by political hit men."
What Buckhead Actually said: "Howlin, every single one of these memos to file is in a proportionally spaced font, probably Palatino or Times New Roman. In 1972 people used typewriters for this sort of thing, and typewriters used monospaced fonts.
The use of proportionally spaced fonts did not come into common use for office memos until the introduction of laser printers, word processing software, and personal computers. They were not widespread until the mid to late 90's. Before then, you needed typesetting equipment, and that wasn't used for personal memos to file. Even the Wang systems that were dominant in the mid 80's used monospaced fonts. I am saying these documents are forgeries, run through a copier for 15 generations to make them look old. This should be pursued aggressively.
What Buckhead wrote was 100% accurate done at the spur of the moment. What Jonathan Alter said was a calculated lie. What Buckhead said is documented record which Alter has undoubtedly read. Alter intentionally twisted Buckhead's accurate statement to make it untrue. It is the MSM who can't be trusted, even when the facts are as plain as day. Alter is calling Buckhead a liar by misquoting Buckhead. Defamation comes to mind.
Always right, you are right again.
I would be inclined to chalk it up to stupidity and laziness, but the intentional lie is certainly a possibility.
