Is Anna Benson right-wing America's next great political commentator?
The wife of Mets pitcher Kris Benson opines on the important issues of our times on her Web site, AnnaBenson.net, sounding an awful lot like Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh - that is, if Hannity or Limbaugh were former strippers turned lad-mag models.
Anna B. takes no prisoners, for example, in an open letter to anti-war filmmaker Michael Moore: "You are a selfish, pathetic excuse for an American, and you can take your big fat ass over to Iraq and get your pig head cut off and stuck on a pig pole," she writes.
"Then, you can have your equally as-fat wife make a documentary about how loudly you squealed while terrorists were cutting through all the blubber and chins to get that 40-pound head off of you."
Then there's Benson's open letter to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals: "I wear fur. I wear dead rabbits and dead minks and dead anything that will keep me warm. I love it. I don't like to be cold, and nothing keeps me warmer than my dead animals. Between my furs and my shoes, I have a whole zoo in my closet. I also love to eat meat. I eat meat twice a day because I need the protein and soy gives me painful gas."
Moore's spokesman did not return an E-mail message seeking comment; PETA media liaison Jen McClure called Benson's letter a "trashy little rant."
"How attractive does she think it is to boast that she doesn't care if animals' necks are broken so that she can dress like a bimbo?" McClure says. "She may be a stripper, but we'll bet that the video footage of stripping dogs and cats of their skin while they're still alive that's on our Web site would make most people lose their appetite for fur, sex and food."
Benson has recently been in talks with radio and TV producers about a possible show, and she says she posted the letters on her Web site to give prospective employers an idea of how her mind works. But the letters were actually inspired by sessions with a shrink about five years ago. "I went to see a therapist to work out my anger issues," Benson tells The Score. "The therapist said I should write my feelings down."
Although Benson never seems reluctant to speak her mind, she actually believes people should shut up and get in line when it comes to President Bush. "I support the president and I support the troops in Iraq," she says. "I leave the politics to the politicians. I try to trust the politicians as much as possible."
Benson, however, has definitely ruled out running for office. "Honey," she says, "I got too much baggage."
That Moore rant is a keeper.

I listen to Rush fairly often. I've heard him say some pretty outrageous things. I have, however, never heard him say anything like this. And the same can be said about Hannity.
Just one more time that the MSM tries to smear conservatives.
I have, however, heard Alec Baldwin say exhort the audience at one of the late night shows to go down to Henry Hyde's house and stone, and kill his wife and kids. It was supposed to be funny. But it wasn't. It was simply nasty & venomous.
I heard Rhandi Rhoades say that Dick Cheney should make like Fredo in the Godfather and take Pres Bush out onto the lake and (popping sound). That was pretty frightening. And if Rush Limbaugh had said that about BJ Clinton, the left/ democrats (same thing) would have been screaming for the Secret Service to do evrything from draw and quarter him to castration.
But the NYDN would rather smear Limbaugh and Hannity. The MSM is a transparent joke.

I knew Chuck Finley. Chuck Finley was a friend of mine. Kris Benson is no Chuck Finley.

Yeah, we know how often people wear DOG and CAT fur! And we know it's much easier for fur harvesters to strip fur from LIVE animals. PETA is such a disingenuous, lying organization.

Well put, both of you.This is the same chick that said if her husband was caught cheating in her she'd screw everyone on his team right down to the batboys. I rather wish she'd STFU about politics, exactly the same as I wish for Striesand and Baldwin et al.

The same could be said of about 90% of the talking heads that call themselves conservative. Rush, Hannity, Coulter, Liddy, and down the line. They espouse conservative talking points from time to time but more often than not are nothing more than Republican cheerleaders. Heck she couldn't be any worse to listen to and at least she's easy on the eyes
