Where to Buy Christian Christmas Gift Wrap?

Posted on 12/11/2005 3:45:50 PM PST by Tangerine Time Machine

Each year it gets harder and harder to locate Christmas wrapping paper with a Christian theme. You know, the designs we used to take for granted: Babe in a Manger, the Three Wise Men, Peace on Earth, etc.

I thought it would be useful to pool our resources as to what is available out there in stores and on the Web.

After a few hours on Google, I've found two designs that fit the bill:

Jeweled Peace

We Three Kings

Clearly my Google-foo skills are deficient. Anyone else have some good sources?

So, is it okay to tear open baby Jesus wrapping paper? How do you dispose of it? Is it okay to buy it at Wal-Mart if you're boycotting it for not acknowledging Christmas but it's the only place that carries it? Decisions, decisions.

So, did you find anyone selling it?

My Google-foo is sufficient to have gotten that far, but no dice. Please help us out and post just one link to one of the tons. Thanks.

No...See #11. I showed you HOW to do it...I will not do it FOR you.

I usually just by solid colors or no design and attach reason for the season name tags.

I've noticed more Christian bookstores and gift shops, mainly in southern states. I take my mother to one up in GA sometimes, Christian Dove or something like that. They sell everything Christian.

Try your local Christian book store or Bible House.

Nope. I ain't looking, and I ain't wrapping nothing up this year. If it doesn't fit in an envelope, I'm not giving it away. Gift certificates all around!

I think brown-paper wrap, tied with yarn or a thick quality string is both tasteful and timeless. (Maybe not for kids' presents however.)

Just make sure there is no grocery store printing on it... that would look tacky.

Me too. Kind of. The grand babies are getting a toy. Everyone else are getting necessity gift certificates. I had to go to a Christmas party Friday though. The higher ups kind of frown when you bring things in bags so I was looking for wrap which I usually buy after Christmas.. I have a bunch in storage but haven't made it over there yet.

It's at the grocery store, right next to the milk from the Christian cows.

Sometimes I will wrap one or two presents in the Sunday funny papers, attatch a bow, and it looks great...

Another way I sometimes like to wrap a few presents, is with brown bags, cut up in sheets, from the grocery store...then I might tie a cord of fuzzy twine around it...and add a few pinecones or nuts or leaves that I find outdoors...

My aunt likes to use the brown paper bag method, but instead of using pinecones or nuts as decorations, she likes to use a variety of pics stamped on from the many rubber stamps from her collection...considering the 1000s of various stamps available in the marketplace, and the wide variety of colored inks used in the stamp pads, she usually comes up with very beautiful packages, which convey exactly the message she wishes to send...

Often, if one cannot find the wrapping paper they wish, sometimes creativity can take over, and you can wind up making your own unique wrapping paper...

If I chose to raise my child as half Jewish, Which she IS...Do we no longer fit in here?

How can someone be "half Jewish"? Either they believe Jesus was the Savior and was resurrected or not. And where is "here"? Do you mean FreeRepublic or do you mean America?

I googled "christian gift wrap" without the quotes...you're more likely to get better hits using lower case and simpler keywords. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=christian+gift+wrap+

I've wrapped 'em in brown paper before. Also funny papers. But sometimes, it's nice to have real, pretty, Christmas gift wrap on 'em.

I go to one of our local Christian Book Stores...they've always got wonderful wrapping paper with the true meaning of Christmas.

I've been reading these creative alternatives. I'm going to try some of them.
