I love the Iraqi and Afghani peoples.

Watching them risk their lives to vote is why I am so infuriated when condecending egotistical elites treat them like ungrateful children that must be disciplined into doing the right thing. That condemnation is directed at both sides of the aisle that have dismissed their sacrifices, and those certain Senators know damn well who they are.

I see we all love the same woman shown today. :-)

don't expect them to be loving allies in 20 years.

They don't have to be. If they simply are a responsible member of the free world community, that will be more than enough.

That picture on the right just gives me chills.

So did the picture of Saddam on Yahoo's slideshow.
Murderous evil bastard.

Seeing those pictures, and the joy on the faces of those Iraqi people is just so inspiring.

It truly is evidence that the majority of Iraqi's are very happy to have a chance at freedom.

Liberals, be damned.

"Someone better get a copy of that woman making the comment. It would make a damn good campaign ad next year before the elections."

I got it on video tape (but only on SLP speed). The ACTUAL quote (constantly rewinding to write it down exactly) is:
"Anybody who doesn't appreciate what America had done -- and the President Bush -- let them go to hell!"

which I would edit simply as:
"Anybody who doesn't appreciate what America -- and the President Bush -- has done -- let them go to hell!" -- 77-year-old Iraqi-American Betty Dawisha, waving her inki-stained finger at the TV camera after voting in the Iraqi election on Dec. 13, 2005

I haven't seen this poll in the MSM either. Interesting. I personally don't rely on polls but I don't think the results of this one were what they were expecting.

All the libs can do is root for violence and chaos, to further their political hopes. Normal people (i.e., conservatives) revel in empathy at the sight of those formerly under the yoke of oppression who are now overjoyed at the prospect of freedom and democracy. The libs are just wrong about everything--wrong on abortion, wrong on the death penalty, wrong on taxes, wrong on affirmative action, and, most telling, wrong on the liberation of 25 million people. I've dumped all of my left-wing acquaintances. It's just not worth it!

I wonder if the Iraqis know that the American Left is heavily invested in
their defeat. I think that it is time that they are told that the Leftists wish
their country to fall into tyranny! I think that they should know that the
American Left is praying to the God of Liberalism for an Iraqi Civil War!

Hey..
I wonder how the IRAQI'S would Vote if they could Vote in our elections!
Do you think that they would Vote for Kerry, Kennedy, Pelosi, or Osama
Al Murtha?

How long do you think a Statue of John Kerry or Mother Moonbat would
last in Iraq?

"..when condescending egotistical elites treat them like ungrateful children that must be disciplined into doing the right thing."

I had one guy make the comment of "forcing our ideas of democracy on other people". Unbelievable.

Today I was at a get together and a couple of the guys started talking about how they were against the Vietnam war. I told them of the gal that cuts my hair and what her family went through - Dad whisked away in the night, family begging in the streets, she got one rice ball a day to eat, her two younger siblings less than that so they died of starvation.

War is bad, but the consequences of not fighting are usually worse.

God bless our troops and the Iraqi people, watch over them as they enter the elections and over the next few years as their fledgling democracy grows.

Freedom's work is never over.

Every generation must defend liberty for its children. Our dads did it for us in the snows of France and Belgium and on the waters of the Pacific. Today's soldier perpetuates the heritage, but we can never expect peace and goodwill to be permanent.

As long as this world lasts, evil will rise again. You are correct in saying that mankind has a short memory and little sense of history.

I hope we see the little lady in an ad for staying the course, real soon.

That would be a wonderful thing to see. Would really put the dems. shorts in a twist also.

I personally have thought that this is the plan of the Bush Administration all along.

Lets me ask you, when those 30,000 troops come home next year, how do you think they will feel?

Like winners or losers?

I think Bush has egged this on for awhile knowing this is coming.

And the Dems drank the cool aide to the point where they simply cannot back down.

Elections are in 10 Months, this may be the end of the Democrats.

Cheers,

knews hound

This event is one of the Bugout Brigade's biggest fears. That's why they had to make hay while the sun was shining (for them, meaning while Bush's ratings were in the basement).
