This time around, they can proudly claim to support Iraqi democracy while being against the actions which brought it about

At least they are consistent. It's exactly like peaceniks using their American liberties to protest ANY war that the US is involved, even though the US fought wars to give them their liberties.

I don't know about things where you are, but it's funny how the radio news, for example, is making the Iraqi vote seem like just another news story.

I'm reminded of the earlier vote. In the early morning, CNN had constant coverage, showing empty polling places. By evening, they were on to some other story, once there was actual NEWS to cover in Iraq. Of course they covered the election, but it was amusing how they dropped out of wall to wall coverage once the voters started showing up in large numbers. Guess that wasn't news...
