Me too, but let's remember that the f-ing French cheered our arrival, and the Germans celebrated Reagan's "tear-down-this-wall," and look at their gratitude today. This is necessary, and we would have to do it even if they didn't particularly like us, but don't expect them to be loving allies in 20 years. They may be---hope they are---but history shows people have short memories.

As am I. Most of us who seem to feel pride in and hope for the Iraqi people tend to fall on the conservative side of the political spectrum. Interesting!
