Regrettably, we cannot credit a sudden outbreak of honesty for this phenomenon, and thereby anticipate improved news coverage from these folks. A pathology is at work.

POLLING UPDATE:
Four polls were released today: 2 MSM polls and 2 Independent polls. Guess which polls offered the most credible results?!!
The 'Independent' Rasmussen and the 'MSM' NBCNews/WSJ polls ostensibly surveyed the same population -- a national sample of 'adults'. However, their results differed rather dramatically (gee, I wonder why)!

RASMUSSEN trumps NBC in this match-up!
The 'Independent' Hotline/Diageo poll and the 'MSM' FoxNews/Opinion Dynamics polls both surveyed the same population -- a national sample of 'registered voters' (they even used the same 2-day polling format). Once again, however, the Independent and the MSM pollsters achieved different results.

NEW YORK – December 15, 2005 – President Bush’s approval ratings have spiked dramatically over the last month while Congressional approval crashed. Following several recent speeches on Iraq, voters appear to be rallying around the president, with a 10-point jump in his approval since a similar poll in November (from 40% to 50%). Bush’s largest gain was among Independents, whose approval jumped by sixteen points. Meanwhile, voters are souring on Congress, disapproving of its job performance by 64% to 26% — a 14-point rise in disapproval since last month. Despite controlling both houses, Republicans also disapprove of Congress by 54% to 38%.

BOTTOMLINE: The President is ending the year with his JA ratings trending UP. According to Rasmussen, the President's December JA ratings have averaged 46% among adults/49% among likely voters. Ed Rollins' Hotline/Diageo poll confirms this average!!!
FYI: RealClearPolitics (RCP) average puts Congress' JA rating at 29% . . . a definite DOWNWARD trend! [Let's see, who should be ashamed to be seen with whom?!]

It occurs to me that we could do a LOT to eliminate vote fraud in the US if we adopted the old inked finger technique.
Ditto on your post - I couldn't hit the space bar fast enough though the ones with mccain, altho' snugs needed to display them. I find my indignation and repugnance toward mccain increase in proportion to his disloyalty to the GOP. There is something very ugly about his inner person that really repulses me.
