Mahdi-12th Imam ping
But but but ... Ahmadinejad got a halo around his head and froze all the UN delegates in place for 28 minutes. Their eyes didn't even blink, so transfixed they were, upon finally hearing the "truth" from the Islamic nation.
We all "know" this, because Ahmadinejad says it's so himself.
Bring on the Mahdi...we'll keep the hellfire missles warmed up.

I thought I had done a thorough check!
Q. (1) The UN investigation into Rafiq Hariris death implicates Syria; was the investigator leaned on and if so, by whom? Is Syria being set up to make it look as if it is hostile to the West? (2) At the same time Iran is being bated and badgered with regard to its nuclear programme. Could you please comment? A. (1) Syria is certainly being pressured by the US which put pressure on the United Nations to implicate Syria in the assassination of Rafiq Hariri. The real culprit, according to my information, is the CIA. Not only had Syria no cause to kill Hariri, it would have been entirely against Syrias interest to contemplate such an action. Syria and Lebanon have mutual need of each other. US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has published findings which support my information. (2) Iran, of course, is similarly one of the so-called axis of evil, dreamed up by Mr Bush, because it is thought to have ambitions to make a nuclear bomb, which is not the case. Iran is large, strong, and the US is bogged down in Iraq. It is, therefore, unlikely that the US would invade Iran but it might bomb the nuclear facility which the Iranians, so far truthfully, insist is for domestic use only.
From Share International:
Q. Is it my imagination or is there an increasing number of patterns of light? They seem to be everywhere! A. You are quite right. They are increasing so that they are now seen in almost every country in the world.
Sounds to me like the (S)elected President of Iran is quoting from this site.
LOL! Wrong religion, and too much of a peacenik. The Mahdi is supposed to kill all the infidels, conquer the world, and subject it to shar'ia law. Then there will be "peace and prosperity" at long last.
For more about Muslim apocalyptic beliefs, see my FR Homepage and FR Links.
A good book on the subject:
Contemporary Muslim Apocalyptic Literature by David Cook.
Ahmadinejad is just reciting standard hadith boilerplate about the Mahdi. Ahmadineja even claims to be able to send the Shi'ite Mahdi messages by dropping notes down a sacred well.
Iran's Gov't Seeks Agreement with 12th Imam - in hiding since 13th century?

Ah, yes. The true fanatic. Once heard a good definition of a fanatic. "One, who having completly lost his direction, redoubles his effort." Sounds like an apt definition in this case....Now I think of it, sounds like an apt definition of a whole shipload of these nutcases.
the one...
Marxist Islam preaches the same "peace" that all Muslims preach - one that only comes with with the world under the control of Islam. Maitreya's "peace" is also Marxist in nature. You can't have redistribution of wealth without revolution and violence. Both are evil.
This guy is willingly leading Iran over the edge of a precipice, he understands the consequences of attacking Israel or the US with nukes and relishes the prospect. He's a suicidal madman.
I cannot stress this enough:
In the hadith, the scriptural prophecies these guys are operating under predict that in the End Times the Muslims will start out outmanned and outgunned against a huge enemy who has tremendous power and the support of strong allies. The Muslims even suffer some setbacks -- but in the end the Mahdi defeats all the infidels and any non-Muslim survivors convert to Islam.
That is the template these guys are using whenever they look at American military might or read the morning newspaper. This is also what the mullahs are teaching the kids in their madrases.

Do you think this guy is the biblical 'man of perdition' (forerunner of antichrist)?
