Got your note TY. Folding is running fine now. I would like to see it pop up as my screen saver, any ideas on how I set that up?

FreeBSD instructions from the FAH site.

... and two more machines (a 2.4ghz and a 300mhz) join the FR team.

Actually, I diabled all screensavers as they rob valuable CPU cyles.

Double click on the six-pointed red star (lower right corner) to have the black console come up.

Thanks for the thread.

Just FYI, I private mailed every new person who responded to this thread encouraging them to join F@H.

We should have 5-6 new CPUs as a result of this thread.

A few more joined as a result of the SETI thread yesterday.

We should have weekly threads from now on --> signing up just a couple of new CPUs each week, we can get into the Top100.

You got five from me (three XP, two FreeBSD, lots of cycles) between texas booster's email and this thread, and several others have posted, so it looks like a good day.

How embarrasing is that for Daily “Screw Them” Kos

Just the usual problem with two-byte brains. Their Team ID is 48083, and none of them can count past 32767...

Their Team ID is 48083

Yay! My computer has completed an estimated 1/500th of a frame of the Amber core. (I think.)

Most work units complete in about a week for slower processors. You should still be able to contribute 50 work units and several thousand points per year!

Did not know that about dual processor systems. I'll need to re-read the FAQs.

Thanks!

I searched to see if DUmmies have a team.

Sure enough, it seems they plan to take on the might FR as well

At 12:03 CST I listed 5 teams that we were gaining on. All have been passed by 3:00 and we have five new teams to conquer:

For my dad and mom (great name, BTW)
Stony Brook
YI Systems
monoteque.de
Etna Valley Folding Team

We should break Top 1400 on Monday.

just a hint - I've got at least 5 machines constantly going and over 80,000 score.

I've got about 20 AMD dual core machines coming online in the next month and they are ALL going to be folding for team 36837.
Maybe I'll have a couple do work for team 36120 for the sake of loyalty.

Btw, I didnt know that freerepublic had a folding team going.

also fyi, I have entered an incorrect team number some time ago and when I checked it just now I've got a score of 55035 for 173 work units.

I dont have the time to correct the error on that machine but my correct score is 55035 more than that listed on team 36837.

I'd advise that you d/l the console version of FAH and install it as a service to load on startup.

That's how I've got all my folding projects configured.

I know trained IT people who won't use it because it's so awkward.

I am one of them. I can't tell what the thing is doing. There is no way to verify communications. I started troubleshooting my network based on failed uploads, only to find out the server side is rejecting the connections. I thought SETI was the only good thing to come from Berkeley, now they've screwed that up too.

My new Dell XPS has a Pentium D, with 2 GB ram. Doing 4 to 6 units a day.
