(Congressman John) Lewis (D-GA) Calls For Bush Impeachment

ATLANTA (AP) -- U.S. Representative John Lewis said in a radio interview on Monday that President Bush should be impeached if he broke the law in authorizing spying on Americans.

The Democratic congressman from Georgia told WAOK-AM that he would sign a bill of impeachment if one was drawn up and that the House of Representatives should consider such a move.

Lewis is among several Democrats who have voiced discontent with Sunday night's television speech, where Bush asked Americans to continue to support the Iraq War. Lewis is the first major House figure to suggest impeaching Bush.

Lewis said --quote-- "It's a very serious charge, but he violated the law.The president should abide by the law. He deliberately, systematically violated the law. He is not King, he is president."

Hey mumbles...any US citizen proved to be communicating and collaborating with Al Quida should be hung from the yard arm. Monitoring their comms should be a very small intitial first step towards that end.

How profound of him. Well, two can play at this game.

I call for Rep. John Lewis' impeachment!

How much do you want to bet that nothing comes from either of our threats?

The House should accept the challenge, draw up legislation much like the Murtha Resolution tactic, and call them to vote right now!

And now you understand why I refer to him as Congressman Mumbles.

The Japs knew when to bomb Pearl Harbor because of a phone call from a known Jap sympathizer giving the particulars about that day.

To have had this technology then.

Honestly, I am surprised it took this long for a call to impeach the President. I always assumed it was because they have nowhere near enough votes to actually impeach him and no one wanted to look stupid calling for impeachment and failing.

I guess I underestimated the stupidity of the dems....hard to do, really

Bloney. Verbal flatulence. Garbage. Horse manure.

We are at war.

Did Roosevelt or Lincoln or Washington go scurrying off to a judge before checking out potential Quislings?

I think not.

Maybe the Dems are worried that THEY may be tapped and checked and that FINALLY - there will be a price to pay for treason.

Seriously, Lewis doesn't belong in congress, he belongs on the Howard Stern show debating politics with Wendy the Retard, Crackhead Bob and Beetlejuice.

I was just going to make a deal with that jerk.

If he ever says the word 'ask' or 'children' correctly, I will say something negative about Bush.
