Pinch Sulzberger where it hurts
Fedora, a diligent researcher at Free Republic, documents the New York Times history of revealing state military secrets.
In his press conference today, the President indicated he believed an investigation has been launched into the latest, most serious of these leaksthe revelation of methods in NSA's surveillance of contacts between terrorists abroad and their cohorts here.
It is time for those who advertise in the NYT and therefore underwrite , however unwittingly, this perfidy to take a stand: Are they for weakening the ability of the US to protect us (and their businesses) or not?
I propose they review their advertising budgets, and divert a sizable amount normally spent at the Grey Lady to charitable organizations dedicated to the well being of our servicemen and women and their families, whose burden has been made more difficult by this latest leak.
If they find this not to their taste, perhaps we can organize pickets outside their establishments to let consumers know that they care so little about the issue that they are unwilling to take even this small step to express their disapproval of the NYT's outrageous effort to undercut the War on Terror.
If the NYT doesn't care and it's advertisers think that's fine, they are moving themselves into the Ground Zero of consumer sentiment.

They're talkin' about you over here.
Rush said today that American Thinker was his favorite blog.
The fall of the stock price of the NYT is appalling. It would seem that the NYT has no business plan. We need to see the plan, any plan. We need to know how the NYT got into this financial quagmire and how they plan to extract themselves.
believe me i know i'm outta my league here,
but how can anyone STILL be purchasing the nytimes ?
put them out of business.
and many thanks to "Fedora"
I would like to think that this comment caused a few Democratic sphincters to twitch. But I no longer believe it. It appears that the prevailing Washington sentiment is that no Democrat can do wrong, even if he's committed treason.
Fedora is one of the best.
Way to go, Fedora!
Can't wait for the Grey Baglady to go out of business.
Your solid research on the shameful history of the NYT was too important to let drop off the sidebar. This thread should stay on the FR sidebar for at least a while longer.
Hopefully, it will give those freepers unfamiliar with what I consider the long seditious record of that digusting rag a real insight into what we are up against.
It's no strech to say that much of today's media shapes it's reporting from the daily marching orders handed down from The Old Red Lady.
Thank you for the time and effort you spent compiling this history. :-)
They appear to have taken their plan from the Islamic terrorist model -- commit suicide and take as many of their enemies out with them as they can.
I know Ive fallen out of touch - SORRY - hope all is well with you!
I apologize in advance if I am being presumptious, but since I'm on your ping list I thought it worthwhile to bring this to your attention.
Thanks for the ping. You have mail.
Thanks for ping. I had responded to poster earlier on.
