A self verifying man sits astride the world, surveys all he can see, and pronounces it good. This is a terrifying thing because the man doing it is none other than Judge George Greer of Florida and the thing he was pronouncing good was the excruciatingly legal murder of one Terri Schindler, formerly Terri Schiavo.
We have to grasp this. A tin-pot, swamp water embarrassment from the brackish backwater of former jurisprudence pronounced to both houses of the Congress of the United States of America that their subpoenas weren't worth a damned thing and that he, the new godhead, had decided not only to ignore the power of the national legislature to subpoena witnesses, but he also chose to ignore the power of that same legislature to even require that their legally innocent witnesses be kept alive until a hearing. This isn't outrageous this is far, far beyond outrage. It is absolute insurrection and treason. The outrageous thing is that our cowed and neutered "firebrands" in both houses meekly laid down and allowed themselves to let this be done to them.
Terri was murdered because the treasonous tin-pot national embarrassment from Pinellas said he wanted to kill her and nothing was going to stand in his way. Punitive impeachment absolutely must follow as the first of many cataclysmic and devastating retaliations repelling this assault on the constitution of the United States of America. I tell you what it actually is: I say again it is treason.
You don't tell The United States House of Representatives that their subpoena is worthless. The power of the United States House of Representatives to conduct hearings and obtain information necessary to produce law is the highest and most clear law in our land. There is absolutely no power of a state judge granted by anyone that allows him to overturn that constitutional direct mandate.
She's dead OK? Will you now allow this man to win awards for destroying the constitutional order simply because you couldn't bring yourselves to figure out the Schiavo moral dilemma? Are we going to allow, as the guardians of her memory, her death to be in vain?
You don't tell the entire United States Senate that you are going to kill their witness and throw evidence out that they have demanded be kept in order. The Senate, which has even the power to try the President, has again full sovereign, national constitutional, authority to conduct investigative proceedings, call witnesses, and thereby produce reasoned law. The lawmaking function of our very national constitution has been outright challenged, outright defied, outright violated by a puissant public official on the lowest of rungs in the civic ladder...if you consider the mobster-controlled Pinellas to be civic in any respect. He has exalted himself far above the normative chains of authority and actually caused a woman to die because of his direct opposition and violation of the national constitutional order. And besides that he is an embarrassment.
There was a banner flying around that Hospice saying, "Governor Greer." After all, the man who threatens Jeb Bush with the force of arms must be the real governor, right?
She's gone, alright? It's safe for you hiding politicians to act now and try to save what's left of the constitution. Nothing is going to bring her back so she will be conveniently silent through the whole impeachment process alright? She'll haunt you only from the grave, not from Pinellas. And frankly, I think she's a saint so haunting won't be in her agenda for tomorrow; she's getting crowned with martyr's glory at the moment and can't be reached for comment.
Judge Greer and his Pinellas Park Acts of Treason should be impeached as a very first act of responsibility of our public officials now that their emotional paralysis has perished. Professional oversight removes teachers from duty when they are under investigation for felonies. In this case the facts are so public there can be no question about the outright flagrancy. After simple professional oversight is exerted on the hoodwink artist, then felonious investigation and a federal grand jury can and should immediately follow.
In section 21 of the Florida State Constitution there is, we do not kid you, the following statement, "It shall be unlawful for any person to confine a pig during pregnancy in an enclosure, or to tether a pig during pregnancy, ... in such a way that she is prevented from turning around freely.... A person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082(4)(a), Florida Statutes (1999), as amended, or by a fine of not more than $5000, or by both imprisonment and a fine, unless and until the legislature enacts more stringent penalties for violations hereof."
The legislature of the state of Florida has acted with the highest minded of ideals to protect the soulful peace of a hog, wallowing in its own stink, during pregnancy by choosing to punish one who tethers her with imprisonment. Let us petition the chairman of the Florida House Judiciary Committee, Mr. David Simmons, to act in at least an equally high minded way and remove permanently from public life a judge who murdered a full grown human woman in cold blood, starved her to death in public, and who defied the national constitutional authority of the United States Congress with a sneer. Men are in prison in the State of Florida for failing to turn a sow. What does Greer get for denying a Saint food, water, and Holy Communion?
I haven't forgotten about this. I never will.
FYI.....More on Greer.........PING
Thank you for the rant. He is one name on a growing list of treasonous public officials.
A minor correction: if you consider the Scientology/mobster-controlled Pinellas to be civic in any respect
That some good ravin' there son.
This is as Moonbatty as the "Impeach Bush" threads on DU.
Get a grip, folks. It ain't gonna happen.
I'd not only impeach him I'd throw him in jail and deny him food and water, along with that so called husband.
Well he did. And they went down like dominoes before the might and majesty of George Greer. A few of them took brave stands---"not on my watch!"---and then, nothing. Even the President did nothing, and the First Lady clucked about the contending parties as if there were some moral equivalency between Terri's family and Terri's "husband." It's clear to me that word went out---from what fiendish place I know not---that Terri was not to be saved, and the process of killing her was to be nurtured along, protected and safely midwifed into legal precedent. It was to set the precedent---and to see how far the people could be pushed into evil. In part, Terri was a test case for moral outrage.
It need not have come to that. Primary responsibility for this atrocity lies with Jeb Bush. As Governor he could have saved her, all by himself. He didn't have the guts. And that's giving him the benefit of the doubt.
I have wondered how it was that Greer could get away with ignoring Congressional subpoenas.
AMEN to this!!
