Once again Krauthammer gets it 100% right regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions and the US and EU response.

"How quaint. Their savior is going to come from a hole in the ground.

Christians associate the underground with the devil and pray upward to the heavens. Muslims pray facing the ground with thier ass pointing to the heavens."

Interesting observation to say the least.

I've heard snippits of news involving possible insurrection in Iran, but I don't get much on it. Do you have anything interesting on this? It seems that Mr. Bush should be putting a great deal of covert effort into fomenting civil war in Iran. I hope he is.

Ahmadinejad was caught on videotape telling a cleric that during the speech an aura, a halo, appeared around his head right on the podium of the General Assembly. "I felt the atmosphere suddenly change. And for those 27 or 28 minutes, the leaders of the world did not blink. . . . It seemed as if a hand was holding them there, and it opened their eyes to receive the message from the Islamic Republic."

Oh great. Nukes in the hands of a leader who hallucinates.

Charles knows that Israel is believed to possess the largest and most sophisticated nuclear arsenal outside of the five declared nuclear powers. Israel's submarines armed with nuclear weapons can not be taken out by Iran. Any attack by Iran will probably mean Iran, Syria and other Arab states would be piles of glass.

Exactly, not to mention any attack on Israel would also kill thousands of Palestinians.

I think the fact that Ahmadinejad has made such belligerent and delusional comments is that he WANTS us to think he is crazy, and for me this exposes this whole thing as a bluff on the part of Iran.

IF they acquire nuclear capability, it will be at most 4 to 6 low-grade warheads. Israel has 250 to 400, tested, ready to go, with PROVEN delivery systems. It would be suicide for Iran to attack Israel. If Iran had any intention at all of attacking Israel, then there would be no bluster, their intent would be concealed at all costs.

Negotiations to deny this certifiable lunatic genocidal weapons have been going nowhere. Everyone knows they will go nowhere. And no one will do anything about it.

The true God, the Judeo Christian God, will squash him like a nasty insect. This stuff doesn't scare me. It tells me the rapture of the church is coming soon! THAT is an awesome thought - I can hardly wait!

I agree with you...However, the Rapture may entail a catastrophic war...

This may sound a little tin-foily, but I wouldn't be surprised if Ahmadinejad is a deep-cover mole being run by a Western (or perhaps Israeli) intelligence agency. His public pronouncements have gone way beyond the pale of even the craziest statements uttered by his predecessors: this puts the Euros, Israelis, and us in the position of having to respond to them. It also serves to inflame anti-government sentiment within Iran, which has been growing in the last few years.

Unless this guy is just plain nuts, he wouldn't be publicly threatening to nuke Israel: if Iran really had that intention, they'd be keeping it quiet.

From a Christian perspective, I find it "interesting" that their supposed "savior" - the 12th imam - is expected to return from a well - a hole in the ground. Where we come from, that's we're the bad guy dwells if you know what I mean.

What makes you say that?

Before the Flood, all were removed BEFORE it got nasty. The same is true of Sodom and Gomorrah ... .

I have a bad feeling that Iran already has nukes. Either that or he is really as mad as a hatter.

You don't rattle you saber like this unless you have a little to back it up.

I have nothing to base that on...It just would seem (to me) that when so many people leave, that God has a plan to confuse those left behind as to where we went...

And I haven't seen anything that indicates the ones still here will have any idea what just happened...

"Well..let's let God make those decisions..shall we? "

Since I am not a humanist, I couldn't agree with that.

Punishment on this earth is quite appropriate. Eternal punishment is up to God.

We could have fun speculating ... maybe "aliens" could have taken us. Or maybe the heathens will claim the "evil" ones were finally removed. Heck, they'll come up with something twisted that glorifies themselves - I have no doubt about that.
