[history]
Brooklyn's Democratic machine forced juvenile offenders from a charity-run criminal rehab to do grunt work on political campaigns this fall, The Post has learned.
The young campaigners, all members of Uth-Turn, a nonprofit intervention group headed by disbarred Tawana Brawley lawyer C. Vernon Mason, worked for candidates during the 2005 primary and general election, court documents reveal.

Gee, I wonder if this story will end up as the basis for a
"Law and Order" episode.

This is rich... child labor, forced labor, Democrats, and all.
Drafting people from criminal rehab pools explains a lot.

Gee, I wonder if this story will end up as the basis for a "Law and Order" episode. It will be, but the "Law and Order" libs will twist it to involve Republicans and tie it with Hallburton and Diebold.

Reminds me of a story I heard locally. A union worker got into a scrape with the law and was sentenced to some community service hours (I don't remember how many). When his boss learned of this, he sent the worker to man the phones at the re-election campaign for the democrat county council. That was his community service.
