[...] Organizers blasted the federal Drug Enforcement Administration for targeting businesses that are legal under Proposition 215, a California law that permits marijuana use for medical treatment. Demonstrators said the action would restrict access to regulated pot shops for seriously ill patients. [...] "They didn't do any arrests, just took drugs and computers," said Paula "Cookey" Brown. "It just seems like a straight armed robbery." [...]

And DEA agents get a big Christmas bonus, once they unload that pot to their buddies on the street.

That is if they don't give it to their relatives FOR Christmas presents. The War on Drugs, a gift that keeps giving and giving... almost as great as the Oil for Food program. Too bad the UN can't get in on the scheme too.

I would be surprised in the extreme if the UN's grubby paws weren't all over the international drug trade. Hell, I wouldn't doubt that "diplomatic immunity" is a cover for a LOT of smuggling.

The new "conservatism" has no time for antiquities like the Constitution.

That would explain why the UN supports drug criminalization: it keeps up their profit margins.

I think all DEA and ATF agenst should be trasferred to the Border Patrol or sent to work on anti-terrorism stuff. We're fighting a war and they're going after pot.

Too funny. Lefty potheads screaming "states rights!" Pissed off enough? Go ahead and secede.

Your support of the governments violation of the Constitution makes you a leftist...not those potheads you despise.

California state anthem.............

One toke over the line, sweet Jesus, one toke over the line
Sittin' downtown in a railway station, one toke over the line

Waitin' for the train that goes home, sweet Mary
Hoping that the train is on time
Sittin' downtown in a railway station, one toke over the line

Who do you love, I hope it's me
I've been changing, as you can plainly see
I felt the joy and I learned about the pain that my mama said
If I should choose to make it part of me
Would surely strike me dead, and now I'm........

One toke over the line, sweet Jesus, one toke over the line
Sittin' downtown in a railway station, one toke over the line

But, but.... We have to stop people from getting high. Even if it kills them. And costs us all of our rights. Because people being high is the most important issue our country faces right now, and we must devote all resources to stopping them. I mean, what's more dangerous than a plant growing out of the ground?

"... including visits by undercover DEA agents who purchased drugs without medical necessity or other documentation"

Actually, the dispensaries are breaking federal law AND state law -- they are not allowed to sell medical marijuana under Proposition 215.

Why isn't the State of California closing down these businesses? You do believe in the rule of law, don't you MrLeRoy?

Oh, wait. You only obey those laws you agree with, not those the majority of the people passed. I forgot.

Simply amazing. You got what you wanted -- legal medical marijuana and still that's not good enough. Your side blew it. You got too greedy too fast, and people now see this "program" for what it really is -- a scam.
