Protest at fallen soldiers funeral St. Louis (Question)

Posted on 12/21/2005 2:46:37 PM PST by misharu

I just got home and caught the tail end of a local guy on KMOX in St. Louis. He was saying something about a protest by some idiot peaceniks (traitors) at the funeral of a local soldier who died in Iraq.

Does anyone have any info on this? I tried a search but nothing came up.

I live about 2 minutes from the funeral home and only about five minutes from the church where this patriot's funeral is. If there are idiot leftwing a$$&*#'s there, I will take some time off work and go protest against them!! I am so livid I can barely type this!!

Somewhere the last couple days, there was a thread about Harley bikers getting together to go around to funerals to guard against such scum.

I dunno about going out there by yourself and it all might erupt into something worse for the family. Do you know any police or firemen who could take a "coffee break" by the front gate in their marked vehicles?

What I am hoping for, since its in a HEAVILY conservative area, that the Ballwin Police will have a strong presence to keep this scum away from the family.

Yep, this is fred phelps from Topeka, KS. If you want to see what an utter nutjob this guy is, just take a look at his website. http://www.godhatesfags.com.

This guy is a joke and his church mostly consists of his family.

I don't know about St. Louis, but there was a FR thread on a solider just south of Springfield that the Baptist Church group was going to demonstrate against this brave young man.

I think there is still a thread here on FR where the HOGS got a huge group together to protest these peaceniks.

Don't know if it's the same young hero or not, but FReepers have been trying to get a group together to honor the young man and protect his family from these insensitive idiots.

Let us know if it's a soldier from St. Louis. I am very interested.

Yes, Westside Baptist borders on being a small example of that truly ugly and disturbing phenomenon, a criminal enterprise disguised or blended with a religious organization.

not2, must be two funerals then. Visitation is tonight and tomorrow all day and the funeral is on Friday in Ballwin Missouri.

I still can't find anything on the web about it. Checking out the local news now.

Don't call them peaceniks! They are the opposite. They protest homosexuality in any form...that's all they do. This new tactic of protesting at servicemen funerals is to get more publicity. The reason they are there is to protest the govt. allowing homosexuals into the service, thus protest signs that say "thank God for I.E.D.s" These vicious phantoms of Satan believe our soldiers are dieing because God is angry with us for admitting homosexuals into the service. I have been in the same room with Fred Phelps. He wears a sulphur-based cologne. I'm not kidding.

There was a funeral last weekend, in Mt. Carmel, Il., for a local soldier killed in Iraq by an IED. The Fred Phelps bunch was supposed to be at the funeral protesting. My daughter went, since the soldier was the friend and neighbor of her boyfriend, and she said the Frednuts weren't there, but the Hell's Angels were. My daughter is 17, so she may have thought any group of bikers are the Hell's Angels. I don't know who it was, myself, but I did see some biker types on the TV news about the funeral.

Roscoe, I called them peaceniks because my info was rather sparse at the time I asked if anyone had heard anything. I have since learned that it is this sicko Phelps guy from Topeka.

My sister just told me that about 12 of this guys congregation will be coming to Ballwin to protest this Friday.

Methinks its time to break out the colors yet again.

I just posted a link to this post over on the thread about the bikers who go to these things to help out.

The guy who does the traffic report had a good idea. He said wouldn't they be disturbing the peace if they are making a lot of noise outside of a funeral? Couldn't they be arrested?

Something to think about.

I cannot believe that Fred has not had the living shiite beat out of him at one of these events.

He is a disgrace to the human race and his latest antics - showing up at funerals for our fallen military is just unspeakable.

I only have to imagine my own son, dead on the field of battle, and this asswipe showing up at his funeral....

I am not a violent man; but I know some.....

They get permits and police protection. The do not need to be arrested. There needs to be someone willing to be arresting for laying a serious ass whooping on the lot of them.

I would pay as much as I could for the defense fund of the man (or better, woman) who would put a whoopin' on this waste of carbon

Here is a link to the funeral of the soldier in Il., last weekend. THe bikers are shown standing behind a barricade. Maybe someone can get a look at the jacket and will know who they are. The video link is at the top of the story.

He has never ventured close to my territory - upper east Tennessee. If he has the stones, it will be more than colors broken out. Like a #10 can of Grade A Ass Whoop.

Who am I to judge... but, if a bunch of a@@holes showed up to protest during a funeral of a loved one fallen while serving his or her country, I would probably end up in jail for assault and battery!

It is just a shame that this lowlife scum actually enjoys the protection of the First Amendment.

Those evil dirtbags from Topeka......I don't have words to describe such scum.......showed up at a soldier's funeral in my neighborhood at Thanksgiving. They walked with American flags attached to their shoes so they could trample the flags. The veterans on motorcycles were there to counter them. My whole family was so angry that we joined the vets and I stayed on a very cold day until the funeral was over so I could salute the the young soldier as his hearse passed by. Fred Phelps and his herd of animals are the vilest things on this planet. Some day some patriot who is a little less sane than I am is going to give that group it's due. I suspect that Phelps has some homosexual tendencies that he battles by opposing "fags" and calling dead soldiers fags!

Thanks, misharu, let us know if you find anything out.

Ballwin is pretty conservative and Bush Country, so I hope there is a big turnout to support this Soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy the great Country that so many unselfish men and women have protected.

Of course, I am sure the Post Dispatch and KMOX will have some kind of negative spin as far as what number casualty he was, rather than his chosen honor to protect and defend our Country.

BTW, it's my understand when the Pulitzer Family sold the paper to the new owners they had an agreement to keep the St. Louis Post a liberal rag....came from a VERY reliable source!

Looks a little like a Ward Churchill clone! Obviously a good reason why cloning should be outlawed.

Be interesting to get those two idiots together in one room and maybe they could do each other in!

Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club has gone to several funerals where the Phelps trash have announced they would protest. Most likely, this is a local chapter of these guys. They have groups all over the country. Good guys!

If they were Hells Angels, I doubt there would still be a Phelps problem!
