This is confirmed on the Vatican News Service so it is official. I can't comment since I don't know anything about the West Coast. It does seem that Archbishop Levada may have had a hand in this, however, since it happened so quickly and this man was his Vicar.

That's more Machiavellian than plausible.

But let's take this down a peg: imagine that N. makes a couple of statements which are contrary to the Faith while Bishop of SFO--not unlikely, given his track record.

THEN B-16 has a case AND an example, should he take action to rid SFO of this fellow.

Yes - I did get carried away as I typed - the same thing to a lesser degree could also serve a similar purpose - and he would have the fall-back position that "I tried to be somewhat accommodating and moderate, but once I promoted him the guy kept peeing on our faith, so now I know better...."

Sort of like many Americans who find a lack of outrage from Muslims.

"Bishops are human and falible."

Those choosing Bishops should exercise judgement and should know about the candidate before the appointment is made.

Vatican I said otherwise. Infallibility, as defined by Vatican I, is now mandatory doctrine. If you disagree, we aren't drafting you and you may belong to whatever false religion you may choose or none.

Your pastor is a wise man and gets it. You are wise and get it. God bless you and yours in this season of Jesus's birth and throughout the year.

Right, Catholicism is analogous to Islam. I can definitely see where one could, ... wait a second I need to decapitate someone, ... just a sec.

Wow! that takes longer than you'd think.

Anyway, with all the flying airplanes into buildings, honor killings, suicide bombings, and general mayhem that Catholics involve their selves in I can see why you decided to compare my faith with that of Islam.

I mean it's obvious. Well, either that or your a loony.

I don't, but I do wonder where the outrage from the catholics is regarding this as well as the buggering.

Where have you been looking? The Leftist media? They're doing their best to keep it a secret. You can read plenty of outrage by true Catholics right here on Free Republic.

We love our church as we love our country and feel just as bad about this stuff as we felt when Qlinton was our president.

Can anyone take the Catholic Church seriously anymore?

Yes. And, more than ever.

You can tell they feel badly, just look at this article.
Keep paying out church offerings to pay off buggered?
Keep moving buggerers around when they are found out about?
HOw about putting the perps in jail for serious time? All of them.

I'm all for that. And, any real Catholic is. The ones who aren't should hit the road.
