Ford would lose to ANY Republican.

The problem in this state semms to be getting a Republican to run. Jim Cooper ran completely unopposed in my distrct for the U.S. House. In Nov. '04, I only voted for president since there was no way I was going to add another vote to a 'Rat with no GOP opponent.

I'm in your same House district (TN-5). As I'm sure you know, the Congressional districts are grotesquely gerrymandered by the 'Rat MINORITY in the legislature, depriving the GOP voting majority of their fair share. Cooper's district was drawn to maximize Democrat strength while corralling all of the GOP area voters into the uber-Republican 7th. Once we can unpack the 7th and obtain our rightful majority in line with our voting numbers, we should be able to have a 7 GOP to 2 'Rat majority, rather than the 5 'Rat to 4 GOP numbers we have now.

Unfortunately, we'll probably still have Cooper and Memphis will still elect a troglodyte (hence the 2 remaining House 'Rats).
