Is a school in Medway stealing Christmas? That's what some parents claim.
The Medway Middle School ordered children not to sing any religious songs in Friday's holiday concert. Students were also told to refer to Christmas trees as magical trees. Red hats have also been banned.
The move comes after two parents complained about references to Christmas in the program.
The Superintendent Richard Grandmont told the Milford Daily News that the town is embracing diversity.
But one parent said he's disturbed that students can't sing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Instead, they have to sing "We Wish You A Swinging Holiday."

A "Swinging" holiday? Just what does that mean? A Swingers Holiday? Does that mean Wife Swapping? Who Knows, you know it really all depends on what "is" is.

I say to the 2 parents take your kids and leave home school them if your sooooo worried about them hearing MERRY CHRISTMAS in a song or seeing an ACTUAL christmas tree.

When we first moved to Mass. my son, four at the time, asked me, "Mommy what happened to all the Black people?" Diversity is not the issue in Medford - a white town. It is Marxism with a few Christian and Jewish Marxists leading the atheist "diversity" pack. Christians should refuse to sing ever again at that school.

Heard on the radio this morning of school that had a Christmas Tree removed but kept the 'Festivus Pole'.

I will tell you why, these people do not take their kids out of Public Schools, because their Tax Dollars are part of what makes that school run, and they are entitled to the priviledge of having their Children educated in a Public School and are entitled to have their opinions expressed about the Curriculum, and What is taught in the school. I called them. I got the school district and was then transferred to the superintendents office. I asked them what the hell is wrong with you people. Then I told them I was sick and tired of being discriminated against because I'm Christian. The VERY NICE person who answered the phone said she would give the message to the super.

Suzi....there lack of respect toward Christians and Christian symbols is appalling. But to be afraid of the words of simple Christmas Songs and the color of a Elves hat is....just comical.
My wife reported the following from the school our first grade son attends and where she is a class-room volunteer. The children were asked to send holiday greetings to pen pals at other area schools. The instructions from my son's teacher specified that the children should not write "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hannukah" on their letters, only "Happy Holidays". One boy turned in his letter and it said "Have a Merry Christmas" across the top. When the teacher discovered it in the pile he grabbed an eraser and removed it without saying anything to the boy whose letter it was. Just erased it without a word.
When I heard that story I was absolutely furious with my son's teacher, and deeply saddened by the situation in our local school. What mindset makes it okay to surreptitiously erase a child's Christmas message? This more than all the other reports out there this season saddened and sickened me. This is organized group-think at its most twisted. How deplorable it is that vulnerable children are being controlled by such robots. This is very much like the 3rd Reich eradication of individuality through systematic means. That it has become so far advanced in our society, and often I presume under wraps as this was is chilling.
Medway has 88 black and 105 hispanic people and a smattering of Asians out of a population of around 12,500. Is this diveristy in Masshole and explain why Mass. Marxists must remove Christmas in Medway? This kind of intolerance is present in throughout the state, no matter their racial breakdown, income, etc.
The culture is dead and mean in Mass. and the State is losing population. Marxists in Mass are as tolerant and uplifting as the Puritans they replaced. The amazing part is how compliant the popoulation is with this kind of harassment.

Seems to me it's time parents all took a stand. How would the two children and their parents like to be the ENTIRE Christmas, er, Holiday show? In an empty auditorium? Take the younguns to church, and celebrate Christmas as Christ's birthday, not a "winter holiday". And lobby for school choice.

That may be so, but you wrote Medford, my friend, not Medway. They're separate cities---well, at least, Medford's a city while Medway's a town, I believe. And Medford's actually quite diverse.
