I read an article a while back that said a Philly doctor, back in the 1920s, experimented with radium at home.

That [former] dwelling was still considered dangerous in the 1980s, and was still monitored.

Just curious why we would be monitoring the Religion of Peace (TM) in this way?

Wasn't there some kid who tried to build a nuclear reactor out of smoke detectors?

Gee, seems there are some people that like to leak top secret defense information. Once in world war two it was called treason, now it is called making sales at your local news outlet.

Guess I am old fashioned, still seems to be treason to me.

I would be outraged if they didn't do stuff like this!

This type of nuclear monitoring has been going on for at least 40 years.

I saw a film clip on TV of a person dressed in a business suit carrying a brief case going into the NY subway;and later they showed him walking by buildings etc.

Then they explained he had a Geiger counter type of device in the suitcase which would show if there was any nuclear device nearby.

I remember being upset they let this info out; because a bomber who saw it would just keep the nuclear device out in the countryside until boom day. - Tom

Stuff like this should NOT be published. And in a world where the libs didn't run the media, I don't believe it would be published. Nothing like warning the enemy.

Good. It's refreshing to learn that we can apply sensible profiling in such important matters. Can you imagine such a program run by the TSA?

"as part of a top secret program "

People keep disclosing such top secret programs, endagering national security and our lives. And nobody seems to care or demand an investigation.

But the Plame investigation, even though it was clear from day 1, that no law was broken, turned into a major investigation.

What's wrong with this picture?!

"In numerous cases, the monitoring required investigators to go on to the property under surveillance, although no search warrants or court orders were ever obtained, according to those with knowledge of the program," the magazine said.

I am outraged! If they want to keep a nuke in their home or church, why it's their RIGHT

Yup. Looks like that is what they are saying.

How many classified leaks are there going to be before someone starts doing something about it?

If I were president, I would have already had the editors of USN&WR in the oval office, with the AG and a Federal Prosecutor.

I would tell him, at about 150 decibles, that the only way he will avoid a charge of possessing and transmitting classified information is to give up the names of the sources that disclosed that info to the paper.

I mean I would bring the wrath of the entire office of the POTUS down on this guy.

These are enlightened and noble disclosures.

I am now convinced the Anthrax mailings to Daschle was set up by the DNC, to make it look like he was on the frontlines of the WOT.

I put nothing past these commies !

Hmmmm... Let's see. Who is on record talking to the NYT over a year ago and is claiming he never talked to anyone about secret programs?

Hmmmm...

John D. Rockefeller, perhaps?
