"Don't you think it's damn funny that even brilliant Democrats like ole Joe Lieberman have to kiss the ring on Imus' finger? They must retch all the way back to the Limo"

Politicians and dipsomats should not be permitted to travel in limos! THEY should not be treated like aristocrats and movie stars!

Support Term Limits and Austerity in government!

So another favorite fable of the Left debunked. No wonder the L.A. Times chose to report this on the Saturday before Christmas.

Just to recap, explicitly, his self-justification says soooooo much about the left's moral bankruptcy.

In just this one article, his excuses include:

--Wrestling with his decision NOT to reveal that S & V's atty had admitted their guilt: "I had come to Boston with the announcement that I was going to write the truth about the case" [i.e., only the left's "truth" would be acceptable]

--"My wife is absolutely certain that if I tell what I believe, I will be called a traitor to the movement and may not live to finish the book"

--"...the next big case may be a frame-up, and my telling the truth about the Sacco-Vanzetti case will make things harder for the victims" [yeah, like the Black Panthers, Weather Underground, ANSWER, Tookie, etc.]

--"It is much better copy as a naïve defense of Sacco and Vanzetti because this is what all my foreign readers [!!] expect, and they are 90% of my public" [reminds me of all the libs wringing their hands in the last election over "how unpopular" America had become---no thanks to them.]

--And to top it all off, a fellow traveller weighs in:
Gambera...said there was a strict code of silence to protect the group and hide the nature of their activities. ... his father...a member of the Sacco-Vanzetti Defense Committee, told him before he died in 1982 that Sacco was one of the killers. "They all lied," said Gambera, a retired English professor [!] living in San Rafael. "They did it for the cause." [get that: a PROFESSOR who felt no compunction to reveal this historical tidbit...and in typical lefty fashion, he blames "them". By failing to reveal it, he lied too.]

So many "necessary" lies. One really wonders how lefties live with the knowledge that their entire movement is based on lies and revised history.
