It seems to me the minimum wage should be $5,000 per hour. I think I could live on that.

Should we be celebrating that he isn't proposing a "living wage"?

No, but we should be calling Arnold to find out if those minimum wage earners will be getting health insurance to go along with that pay raise. =:0

He was doing fiscally conservative things, such as vetoing the minimum wage, put the reform propositions on the ballot, which all conservatives should have supported, but they stayed home or even voted against them. Conservatives deserted Arnold, when he was promoting the conservative agenda, so now they have nobody to blame but themselves.

---

While he was "doing fiscally conservative things", he was also pushing a GReen and GLBT agenda. His token vetos of a few select bills do not hide that fact no matter how much you try spinning this pig's ear into a silk purse.

Too bad ambition gets the best of some folks in politics, but he is nothing more than a Kennedy after all, no matter how some try and spin his time on office.

"I see one note Charlie Charlene showed up."

Please tell me that is not a male.

Otherwise, I will need DNA authentication.

Only a female would be this ga-ga over Arnie. Of course, there is another possibility I suppose...

Arnold, Arnold, Arnold. Go back to Economics 101; Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200M.

"How can you continue to post this crap after having been proved wrong mulitiple every times?"

Couldn't resist. I cannot recall a single time our favorite Cheerleader was correct on an Arnie issue that was in controversy. Nor can I recall a single instance of calcowgirl, Amerigomag, NormsRevenge or Carry_Okie being incorrect in contesting such assertions.

Watta maroon. He should have put in a waiver for employers who provide medical benefits to their employees.

But of course the Dems would have insisted on specifying and micromanaging a minimum benefit package, and the whole thing would have gotten in the way of their push for single payor.

It is amazing how little they consider people's actual needs vs. building their power base.

Raising the minimum wage is just another form of taxation on business...

Hey wait just one little minute, there! lol

Don't go lumping the whole gender in with that level of stupidity. Remember, there was at least one MALE ga-ga poster who said we should vote for Arnold and he should be given a pass because he was a really good looking guy and was maybe the most attractive man in the world.

Of course, your other possibility.... hmmmm...

Yes but it is also racist. Minimum wage laws prevent those with the least skills from getting their first job and learning work behaviors. It thus impacts low-skill minorities more than middle class whites.

"...but I suppose looking back over the last few years it has made very little difference despite the fuss we made."

Not sure about the UK, but many of the labor unions in the US have contracts that link wages for union members with the minimum wage, so employers who already pay substantially above minimum wage will be paying out additional monies as a result of this legislation....

Well, we can always limit that level to your man FO and the ga-ga male(?) poster you mentioned...

You've got to destroy jobs in California in order to get reelected.

Good joke, but there is a weird kind of logic to it. Liberals hate to work - if there are no jobs, all the more reason to hand out more government benefits...so they don't have to. ;)

It also impacts the entire wage structure of a small business because it puts upward pressure right on up the pay ladder...

ROFL! No... I just happened upon some of those posts one day when viewing some old threads. They were such classics, I bookmarked them for later reference (or amusement, lol).

You guys are nuts. Just look at Arnold. All hetero women like arnold. If I were a woman, I'd like arnold too. A good looking guy is a good looking guy.

A noble effort in defeat FO,

but you've been refuted so many times you're starting to look familiar...
