Well, my first thing for 2006 is give up smoking, since my little daughter is pointing her little fingers at me saying it is very bad for my health and she does not want me to die before time, because she loves me very much.

OTOH I will be watching the Rose Parade for the first time Live, and in person for change, since I live 2 Miles from Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.

Second...I will give up drinking whiskey...getting to expensive as of late.Other that that, watching the Cholesterol and Blood Pressure level, everything is just peachy!

Among my resolution(s)....CRUSH LIEberals at every turn, defeat the RINOs at all cost, sell the old fixer-upper/buy a bigger home & give the wife the honeymoon we never had.

I live in north Texas...I am as nervous as you are.

I'm sure you are with all of the 'fun' that's been had in and around the DFW area this last week. Our forecast for the weekend is more favorable for fires than the previous weeks. We've been under burn bans before but it's not been this dry here since the '50's according to our local weather.

Both Governors' Perry and Henry have made statements about not shooting off fireworks while we're under the ban burn but here in Ok. they haven't closed down the firework stands just have said you can't shoot them off. I would have liked for them to have closed the stands down because you know people are going to buy them and shoot them off.

I know how quickly roofs can catch on fire due to fireworks because the house in Houston I was raised in caught on fire one July 4th.

I would say that ya'll have had more that your share of rain...so have fun with fireworks!!!

Actually, I dislike fireworks because they drive my dog crazy...then she drive ME crazy...and this year, with the added fire danger...too much for me.

Oh thanks. Spent Christmas here with him. We had a ball. Many memories. Happy Birthday to your little granddaughter. Oh yes, the Pork and Sauerkraut is the best. Could never begin the New Year without it. :) Tradition...can't beat it. :)
