'United States planning a military strike against Iran'

The United States government reportedly began coordinating with NATO its plans for a possible military attack against Iran.

The German daily Der Spiegel collected various reports from the German media indicating that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are examining the prospects of such a strike.

According to the report, CIA chief Porter Gus, in his last visit to Turkey on December 12, requested Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to provide military bases to the United States in 2006 from where they would be able to launch an assault.

The German news agency DDP also noted that countries neighboring Iran, such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, and Pakistan were also updated regarding to supposed plan. American sources sent to those countries apparently mentioned an aerial attack as a possibility, but did not provide a time frame for the operation.

Although Der Spiegel could not say that these plans were concrete, they did note that according to a January 2005 New Yorker report American forces had entered Iran in 2005 in order to mark possible targets for an aerial assault.

Moonbat Carter would sneak into Iran and strike a deal, guaranteeing Iran 'Da Bomb' and fifteen years in which to prefect a delivery system.

It's not like we don't have unfinished business with Iran.

"WE NEED A TIME FRAME! WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN, HOW LONG, AND WHERE! DON'T 'LIE' TO US AGAIN! 'PLANS' ARE NOT 'VICTORY'!"

Jimmy Carter would talk the issue to death, speak about America's 'national malaise', and then send a half-hearted, unsupported strike team into Iran and then, after screwing things up hopelessly, he'd look deep into his soul and find a way to screw it up even more.

Reagan, well, this crap wouldn't even be happening if Reagan were President.

Wait until Sean Penn goes to Iran - that will be the signal.

If they want the bomb so badly, why don't we send them a couple. A B-2 can deliver them anywhere in Iran in a matter of hours.

Of course there won't be much left of the delivery point afterwards. But, hey, you can't have everything.

I wonder why the Europeans want the US to be allowed access to air bases in Turkey. Why don't they speak for themselves, move their troops in and have at it with the Iranians. They didn't help us in Iraq, now let them help themselves in Iran.

Nothing new. Iranian assets have been on the big board since we went into Iraq.

Before the end of Bush's presidency. The intel part of the pre-war run-up is well under way. Bush's legacy is a warning to all non-nuclear weaponed countries: don't do it. And a warning to all Muslim governments: be stable and behave yourself.

Of course we're planning a strike against Iran. We're probably even planning a strike against France, Britain and Mexico.

The European pacifists have weakened their military forces to the point they can hardly operate. Don't confuse the Bundeswehr with the WWII Wehrmacht.
