Turkish Press: Goss Reportedly told Ankara that Iran has nuclear weapons
During his recent visit to Ankara, CIA Director Porter Goss reportedly brought three dossiers on Iran to Ankara. Goss is said to have asked for Turkeys support for Washingtons policy against Irans nuclear activities, charging that Tehran had supported terrorism and taken part in activities against Turkey.
Goss also asked Ankara to be ready for a possible US air operation against Iran and Syria.
Goss, who came to Ankara just after FBI Director Robert Muellers visit, brought up Irans alleged attempts to develop nuclear weapons. It was said that Goss first told Ankara that Iran has nuclear weapons and this situation was creating a huge threat for both Turkey and other states in the region. Diplomatic sources say that Washington wants Turkey to coordinate with its Iran policies. The second dossier is about Irans stance on terrorism. The CIA argued that Iran was supporting terrorism, the PKK and al-Qaeda. The third had to do with Irans alleged stance against Ankara. Goss said that Tehran sees Turkey as an enemy and would try to export its regime.DoctorZin:
In a little noticed change in the Turkish version of the German report, it added that the CIA is convinced that Iran already has nuclear weapons. If addition is accurate, it would explain a lot. The flurry of reports emanating out of Germany include: UPI, Monsters & Critics and Spiegel Online.
- Reuters reported that a senior Iranian official said: Iran's agreement to discuss Moscow's plan to enrich uranium in Russia does not mean that Tehran has abandoned its drive to enrich uranium on its own soil.
- Reuters reported that Russia's foreign ministry confirmed on Friday that a top envoy had talked to Iranian officials to discuss a Russian proposal to enrich uranium for the Islamic Republic.
- Rasha Saad, Al-Ahram looks at the Arab reaction to the new Iranian President.
- Ardeshir Dolat reported that a young Iranian girl has been sentenced to death by hanging.
- Matthias Kuntzel, Transatlantic Intelligencer, FrontPageMag.com reported on the problems with German's recent confrontation over Ahamdinejad's holocausts statements.
- Tino, Truck and Barter reported that the Iranian embassy in Sweden seems to be actively looking for holocaust deniers in Sweden. What is going on?
- And finally, DoctorZin reported that as of today, in a little over a year, we have now posted over 6,000 news posts on Iran. The good news is that the mainstream media is noticing our work here.

They set the buildings ablaze
Why do I get the feeling this is a bit...hyped?
Because if Iran really had nuclear weapons, Israel would already have been nuked.
Boy, I sure hope it is! Last thing we need to start off the New Year!
Someone please tell me this isn't true.
Thought so...we need to stop playing games and Air Strike all their Nuclear Facilities.
I believe once the West (includes Israel) Makes a strike on Iran, the youth will finally topple them.
Just by looking at the sources...It might as well be Debka.
and why some people even inside Iran think that regime possesses nukes?
Okay, it's not true.
The Iranian government has the know how in nearly every aspect of nuclear weapons development needed to produce home grown weapons.
With the close relationship of Iran to North Korea, Pakistan, China and Russia is not only possible but likely.
Now the Iranian government is seeking to extend the range of its missiles.
But why is Goss being quoted instead of Condi?
Both of these figureheads are respectful IMO, however I consider Porter a domestic icon with the WOT.
I would speculate they need more than one weapon. sure one may /not hit tel aviv, therefore they need more than one. then there would be retaliation, accordingly they need support of more nuclear weapons.
given that, they need to accumulate / manufacture more than a handfull.
Look for 2 two events. If they happen, we know....
1. Israeli jets leaving home space headed in an easterly direction.
2. Senator Jay Rockerfeller on a special envoy trip to Syria and Iran.
What is the protest about?
Who are they?
Unless they don't believe their own rhetoric (unlikely, as that rhetoric is perfectly consistent with their observed behavior), none of those things would matter to them. Muslims don't care if they die if they think they are getting their virgins in the process.
The behavior of the Iranian ruling regime is curious. Nuking Israel would mean a nuclear war with the US and that would happen very soon afterwards, regardless of the Democrats and RINOs. Plus, Israel is said to have subs that are nuke equipped. Either way they would be cinder in no time.
They know that W has limited political support for military action so they can continue to stir up the pot with support for terrorism. I think that they also believe that they can continue to move forward in developing nukes given the lack of balls in Europe and the lack of unity on the US front. The Nukes are for chips at the big table. If they have them we cannot easily invade them. If they give them out to terrorists then they are as good as dead.
???????
I've been suspecting for a couple of months now that Iran might have acquired one or two from NK, or perhaps some of those missing Russian suitcase bombs.
Tell the Turks that Iran has a large Armenian population and they will be good to go.
Nuking Mecca is not the answer. You nuke the people who did it and if they are not a state then you take out the people who helped them. If that means we eradicate the Saudi's for helping then that's part of the package.
I am not aware that W has never made it a stated policy of ours that anyone who helped a terrorist detonate a nuke against us would be the ones receiving the tactical nuke response.
The weapons Iran would have at this point would be relatively small for nukes so that Iran would have to use several to destroy Tel Aviv. They may be waiting until they have enough. If they launch them, the impacts would be scattered and would affect adjoining countries, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and the territory of Palestine and Gaza. Casualties among Arabs would be higher than among Israelis. Retaliation would eliminate Iran as a functional country for a very long time.
They assume sanity.
NTSHA!
Tancredo destroyed his credibility with the nuke Mecca remark. He should have stuck to the border issue.
Parts of the article just doesn't pass the smell test.
2006 will be an interesting year.
Sounds like it.
Happy New Year.
They don't give a rat's patoot about the Palestinians. The Pali's are just expendable cannon fodder.
