But they never met the man.............
Glad to see this, but can you please cite your source?
Johnnie, I'm just starting to follow this scandal (so many scandals, so little time). What, actually, is WRONG with Dems OR Repubs taking this guy's money??
Everyone needs to bookmark this....this is ammo...the MSM are only reporting Repubs...as you can see a lot of rats have dirty hands also.......
Only republicans can be corrupted by campaign contributions.
I think I should be clear: It's good to get that money out of DC.
uh, yeah...where are you getting this from and how are you able to tie these amounts to Abramoff?
Remember, we aren't liberals. We like to cite our sources and to make sure our info can be verified as fact.
The WaPo has a graphic that is GOP heavy and Dem light in its portrayal of the Abramoff ripple effect.
This list was not provided along with that info, only a few dems were mentioned.
But what would you expect from a leftist agenda driven org?
per FEC Records
Link? And if its personal research you or someone else did on the FEC website, please us know the searched donor names.
easy there....there's a problem with his post as we have no idea if his number are right. Stop acting like a liberal unless this post is a leftist plant. the only big names knowingly taking money is Dorgan and Reid. It was just issued in the Detroit free press that Levin took ~5k but his office is claiming it had nothing to do with Abramoff.
Bumpity-bump-bump! Did you ping Hannity, Levin, Rush etc.?
Thanks for the info, but in the interest of accuracy, I suggest that you also post the Republicans, and, cite your source.
Thanks for the post!
I keep seeing this list; where is the list with Republicans?
oh, ok. Then, of course, it's correct.
But if I can ask a very reasonable question which the poster didn't explain. HOW DOES HE KNOW THIS MONEY CAME FROM ABRAMOFF? IOW, WHO ACTUALLY GAVE THE MONEY?
He might be right in what he posts, but he did a horrible job in sourcing or explaining how he knows this to be true.
I guess that doesn't matter anymore.
< Thanks for the info, but in the interest of accuracy, I suggest that you also post the Republicans,... >
The MSM will do that everyday, all day. He's just being balanced.
Was a search done simply on the name "Abrhamoff" or were other search terms/groups/pacs/tribes used?
Great portions of the money in question was essentially given in good faith by Indian tribes.
The use of front organizations and the money for personal uses is what is the catch in the craw, so to speak. Jack and cohorts were all living high on the hog while playing the role of wheeler dealers in DC.
I hope I'm portraying that correctly, it's my interpretation of events. If not, Im sure folks more knowledgeable will add or modify my comments accordingly.
I'm just another Joe Schmo that can't afford to rub elbows with fatcats, actually I would prefer not to anyway..
Thanks for posting this, I've seen it on other threads, but it deserves one of its own. Bookmark Bump!
Heineken on fox News said there were only 1 or 2 Rats involved.
Here is the whole list.
If you like , I can link up some of the items mentioned.
Jack had at least 2 or 3 different orgs he used as fronts to move and donate money to and from.
Again, I'm no expert on the issues involved , unfortunately the DOJ is sitting on specifics as well.
BUMP!!! for great freeping!
Ok, so what have any of these people done wrong? "Laundered" money?
Not intrested in GOP ties. As I pointed out in my post, I am intrested in why the Democrat Party's ties to Abhamoff are being spiked by the Dinasour Media. The GOP ties are irellevent to the point of WHY the Democrat Party is getting a free ride on this by "The People's Watch Dogs"
Maybe we should make a list of who he DIDN'T give money to.
Thanks for that link.
Im gonna stand down and let folks digest and regroup question-wise.
Quite puzzling why he doesn't provide link or citation up front for this valuable list. Try http://www.capitaleye.org/abramoff_recips.asp
Pelosi is nowhere in this? Darn!
I'd like to see some figures on the money donated to WA State legislators in the run up to the vote on expanding gambling outside of the Indian reservations. Murray and Cantwell received a lot of money on the national level, but I'd bet that there are a ton of state legislators on the take from Abramoff, as well.
I was wondering....thanks for the post. This is big time. Now, are any Republicans implicated? If so, anyone know who they are?
How true. I just read about this in USAToday, today, and I walked away thinking that only Republicans received donations.
Re comment #1, what I overheard while my wife was watching one of the TV network "newscasts" was that there may have been some Democrats who accepted Abrahamoff's money. Hah! 39 of 45 Senators. Yep, that is technically "some."
Is there a way to find out about the state legislators on the take?
Yes she is. Way down towards the bottom Pelosie got $3000
