It shows you what an incredible grip the Baby Boomer culture has on America. The music featured in so many TV commercials is evidence that Madison Avenue knows us baby boomers have a grip on the cash and the remote control.
At any rate, I might actually watch the halftime show this year. Last year? I and millions of other baby boomers tuned out.
"Gen-Xers" needn't fret too much; next year it'll be your turn again with your Justin Timberlakes, Britney Spearses, Christina Aguileras, etc. Maybe you'll get real lucky and have some rap and/or metal cr*p. Meanwhile, our TV will be switched to pretty much anything else, and I'll be over at the appetizer table. ;O)

Another crappy half time show. Can't they find entertainers from this century?

'"Let It Bleed" is one of the best albums ever made.'
I agree. I enjoyed the Stones way back then. They're 30 years overripe.

The fake cheering crowds are one of the most annoying things about Superbowl shows. If you gotta pay somebody to stand there and cheer, the band sux.
The Rolling Stones passed into suxtitude some time ago...

Screw Mick and his anti-Bush rants ... I still love 'em ... it'll be a great halftime.

----DETROIT - Mick Jagger and his bandmates may be nearing senior citizenship, but Super Bowl planners only want people 45 and younger to take the field during the Rolling Stones' halftime show.---- The real news story here is that there are 46 year-olds who will sue the NFL for being expected to act their age.

Though it's telling that the Boomers are still hogging so much of the spotlight that you couldn't tell the difference. :)

can they discriminate against Helen Thomas? No. She's younger than Mick Jagger and nearly as ugly as Keith Richards. :)

I don't think anyone younger 30 would know who in the hell is the Rolling Stones. The only reason they would show up would be just to get a free ticket to the Super Bowl...
