Hillary Clinton Caught with Abramoff Cash

Unlike many in her party, 2008 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has been silent about the influence peddling scandal erupting around lobbyist Jack Abramoff, whose plea bargain with the Justice Department is said to have more than a few on Capitol Hill quaking in their boots.

Now we know why.

Turns out, Mrs. Clinton is among the dozens of Democrats who accepted Mr. Abramoff's tainted contributions.

Clinton spokeswoman Ann Lewis told The Buffalo News on Thursday that "after examining our records we found two contributions for $1,000 from tribes which have been clients of Jack Abramoff in the past."

Also Harry Reid I hear. BUT Wait one minute here - all I hear on the MSM is that "Republican Jack Abramoff" and how this only afflicts the party of corruption. Even in my morning paper I noticed not one word about DemonRATS. In fact I was going to write the local publisher, but it was an AP article like the entire paper is so what is the point. Local papers are nothing more than copying machines these days.

As much as I detest Hillary (see tagline), this article overreaches.

Now, if she'd taken that $1000 and invested it in x/y/z futures ...

Did you also hear that good ole Harry refuses to return the money saying it's a republican problem and he's done nothing wrong. Man is insane.

They 'found' two checks?

Guess they quit looking after the second one. . .or just thought 'two' sounds good. . .

Hillary has raised 'fraud' to a fine art and is soooo finely practiced in her skills.

Two $1,000 donations from some Indians isn't the same as taking money from Abramoff. This is a stupid article.

That Bush fellar donated some $6,000 of the $100,000 or so of Abramoff dollars to charity hasn't he or maybe it was his re-electon campaign. Heck Abramoff was a star fundraiser making the $100,000 plateau for the campaign.

The point being that Abramoff dollars cuts across many politicos at both the federal level and probably some at the state level.

Our guy JD Hayworth ended up with $2k (not the $100,000s as reported) and he volunteered to give it back to the tribe whom he had worked with for years before he took the money and the tribe said they don't want the $2k back. Let's see what comes out of all this, the Dims already have the answer and we don't know the facts. The Dims are calling this a "Republican Lobbyist" and a "Republican Party of Corruption problem", but I am sure there are plenty of stinking smelling RATs going to show up also.

Yup...but standard fare from News-Lax. And even if the donations had been directly from Abramoff, $2K ain't gonna' buy much influence anywhere--and diddly squat with that witch. She's strictly high maintenance.

I heard this on NBC Nightly News. Yeah, they were all over this with film and direct quotes.

Yeah, that's the ticket.
