NYs junior senator is in full fundraising mode for other Dems and her own possible 08 presidential bid
WASHINGTON -- What's in a name?
About $50 million for Democrats who have used Hillary Rodham Clinton's money-making moniker to raise cash for their campaigns since 2001.
New York's junior senator has drummed up at least that much for Democrats around the country simply by lending her name to "Dear Friend" fundraising letters or appearing at events on their behalf, according to a new estimate of Clinton's fundraising clout compiled by her campaign.
She's raised $1.2 million for Senate and House hopefuls through her pet political action committee, HILLPAC, over the same period, according to federal election records.
Clinton's torrential rain-making is creating a ready-made legion of supporters for a possible presidential bid and may be intended to intimidate potential Democratic primary rivals, said Larry Noble, director of the Washington-based Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks campaign finance.
"She is a center of gravity in the Democratic Party with the ability to draw cash in by herself," said Noble. "Can you think of a bigger draw than Hillary? It's not Howard Dean."

At WHAT?
The beast is raking in the money. Hard for another democrat to get enough for a Starbucks grande.
Lying and cheating of course!
Never underestimate the Clintons's ability to campaign or to raise money.
I could find some choice words to describe her other outstanding qualities.
However, I think writers should complete their sentences, so they are better able to convey their thoughts.
Ish.
"No person may give money or anything else of value to any candidate for federal elected office unless that person is legally registered to vote for the candidate".
Can you imagine the hell that the MSM would be raising if this was a Republican making this kind of money? The MSM is nothing but a bunch of double standards rolled into one, big, propaganda machine. DemocRATS, good. Republicans, bad. Hypocrites!
I agree with you completely!
