Five Democratic campaign operatives charged with felony counts of property damage in the slashing of tires on Republican Party get-out-the-vote vehicles before polls opened Nov. 2 will be tried early next year, under a schedule laid out Monday.
Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Jean W. DiMotto, who has handled the case, authorized switching the case to Judge Michael Brennan because she will move to small-claims court duty in August.
Attorney Robin Shellow, who is representing Sowande Omokunde, the son of U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.), had requested that the cases remain with DiMotto, but attorneys for the other defendants had asked that the matter be moved, as court policy dictates.
The trial was supposed to start last week, but the illness of Shellow's mother, who has since died, prompted a postponement. Shellow's father, James Shellow, has been Robin Shellow's co-counsel in the case but had remained in France with his wife.
The trial is to start Jan. 9.

I've been waiting for this for quite a while! I bet it's not getting a lot of attention now, right? Has it been delayed again?

they'll likely try to delay it again.
somebody will probably get a sprained ankle or a bad case of gas and they'll delay it for another 6 months.

Why does it take more than a year to bring this case? From article:

Why does it take more than a year to bring this case? Because they're crimes committed by DemonRAT thugs in a DemonRAT city with DemonRAT lawyers for the defendents and sympathetic DemonRAT judges. Did I mention they're all DemonRATS?

Thanks for reminding me of this. No new real news, but Charlie Sykes (midday host on WTMJ-AM, blogger, author and columnist) had a
devastating piece that referenced this last month.

Why does it take more than a year to bring this case? Because fellow DemonRAT E. Michael McCann (McCan't motto - Dragging feet on prosecutions since 1969), known for taking a $5,000 donation to county coffers to dismiss the smokes-for-votes charges against Connie Milstein and finally retiring with his enhanced pension (the only elected official to keep every penny of the enhancements after news of that enhanced pension shook up county government), is taking yet another dive.

Yeah, I remember these characters. Spoiled rich kids, their mamas didn't spank them enough when they were little. The "French connection" is interesting, funny they didn't burn the vans.
To: Gondring
I'll beleive it when it happens. Robin Shellow is THE scum of the Earth.
To: Gondring
Best thing here? Let them keep moving back the trial until it comes around October. Then let a "jury of their peers" find them NOT GUILTY. Then let's see the minority party handle the anger among local Americans as they go to the polls. Not exactly Welstone stuff but it will be nice.
Why wish this? They wouldn't get any jail time anyway.

Five Democratic campaign operatives charged with felony counts of property damage in the slashing of tires on Republican Party get-out-the-vote vehicles before polls opened Nov. 2 will be tried early next year, under a schedule laid out Monday. I think they should be charged in Federal Court with violating the civil rights of voters in the area. The damage was far more than mere property.

My money's on a last minute plea agreement. Can't imagine Gwenny letting her precious little Supreme Allah go to trial. Hopefully, I'm wrong and we'll have some attempt at justice in this state with regard to democRAT election shenanigans!

These clowns will get the usual "slap on the wrist", if anything at all. How about some community service cleaning toilets or better yet, in MMSD's deep tunnel?
To: martin_fierro
Ah . . . the alleged perpetrators.
Wonder how long it will be before they are lionized by the left wing media.

Good article.....Is this posted somewhere on FR to perserve it? Doubtful, but Charlie's good about keeping his archives available (the archives go all the way back to October 2002). You could, of course, git-r-done.
