Nitkin: I've said repeatedly that The Sun is interested in learning the identity of the Internet poster who talked about O'Malley. The source of the information must come from the Web site itself, www.freerepublic.com. We've gotten some information from them. We'd like to get more.
A dodge. The Sun "knows" the procedures and processes for getting that information.

I wonder what additional information The Sun wants from Free Republic. They already have the e-mail registration addresses and location of the IP addresses MD4Bush used to log on here. The only thing they probably don't have that Jim Robinson has is the actual IP addresses used. If they track back to a National ISP, I doubt the actual IP address would tell them much, unless it happens to be a static IP address that can be cross-linked to the X-Originating-IP address of an e-mail sent to The Sun by a known person. Or the IP address can be tracked back to the MD Democrat Party's ISP. MDDems.org ultimately traces back to Hurricane Electric, IIRC.
