Fellow Americans, there comes a time every mans life when we must give up ourselves before we are worthy to recieve. There comes a time in this war on terror when in order to protect liberty, we have to give it up in the mean time for safty. That's right folks. Today, Americans have forsaken the creator for the creation and have decided that they would value our "civil liberties" than protecting western civilization and rich white people from the tender mercies of radical Islamic terrorists. Selfish liberals insist and whine that Bush has no right to spy on Americans and ban certain undesirables from using our airlines. They demand the right to criticize and blaspheeme the name of our supreme commander and cheef George W Bush while forcing multiculturalism down our throats and praising Bill Clinton. We all know however that it's totally Clintons fult for everything bad in america. Now we are at war and we must make a decision. support the safty of America and defeat terrorists, or support civil liberties and give victory to the enemy. Its all because of Bill Clinton and civil liberties that we are in this war so it is only fair that we give it up. no one said life was supposed to be fair you liberal crybabys. Dont give me that rubbish about equality and diversity. WE ARE AT WAR! If your not for Bush and against civil liberties your a terrorist! Your probably even a Communist and should be detained. Therefore fellow Americans we must throw all of our trust and resources behind George W Bush and behind this war with no ifs ands or buts. Be sure to report any and all detractors and freedom supporters to your local military and never question. Bush knows what hes doing and we will win this war once and for all. Yep. Sounds like a long day, alright. I had 8 hours at Heathrow going over and 18 coming back. It was the worst part of my trip. It was the only time, in fact, that I was treated with anything but respect.

I carry small packages of tissues, instead of TP. That way, I can spread them through my luggage and carry some on me.

Sorry about the suiter. And the secret of the space bags is to fold your items, not roll them. I don't know what the difference is, but rolled clothes wrinkle...folded ones don't.

In Pak, it is "tigga" and the word for thank you is "shu'kria" (Emphasis on shu.) I'm sure I learned something else, but I can't recall. I did keep some common advertising, though...Coke, Pepsi and Seven-Up labels in both Urdu and English, a newspaper, a menu for a take-out restaurant, and a jewelry receipt. But I wish I had kept the Pizza Hut menu...
It was an enjoyable experience and I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

The Flying Castle has been dizzily wending its way along the spiral road to Mars for nearly two months now.

It’s easy to lose track of the fact that we are in a hostile and deadly environment. We have songbirds and wildlife, the lowing of cattle, the laughter of children, and other natural sounds as well as an effective and convincing appearance of Earthlike normality.

It is difficult to disguise the lower gravity, however. We can readily see that it is produced by our gentle rotation rate. A simple glance up into the sky at “night” shows the other habitats to which we are connected, and the noticeable turning of stars in the distance.

It is, though, easy to get used to. Having our other “continents” just a few moment’s ride away allows us to go on shopping and gustatory adventures with astonishing ease. Our work keeps us busy as we man the laboratories, schoolrooms, and production facilities for instruments, clothing, entertainments, and exploration equipment.

The food production has turned out to be attuned to our needs in very good order. As our dietary requirements change because of personal choices, the food producers can modfy their plans and activities. As our tastes change, the restaurants adjust their presentations. It’s great to have so many wonderful choices. Hopefully, whenever we return to Earth-normal gravitation, we will not have to pay a penalty for having eaten well on our trip.

By my observations, that won’t be a problem. Most folks I see have reduced their caloric intake because of reduced work-stress, and have also increeased their activity levels, since it is easier to be active in low gee.

The sports activities, for example, have turned the commonplace motions of running and jumping into an almost acrobatic display of carefully planned maneuvers, and the new zero-gee area will add to that perception.

Yes, the central axis facility is now open. Only two of the supporting arches are completely furnished and accessible, (while work is proceeding on the interior of the third), but that should be sufficient for safe movement into and out of the area, even in the event of an emergency.

By the way, there have been some minor air leakages caused by micrometerorite punctures. Nothing to be alarmed about; our repair crews showed that the training they received was to good purpose, and the repairs were made in a very businesslike fashion. I’m very proud of them.

We have reached the mid-point of our journey, and that means ... um, well it means that we just continue what we’re doing. As we slowly wind our way toward Mars, you may wish to decide whether you will remain in orbit around Mars, or join the group which will descend to the surface.

There is at least another month to go before we have to execute any maneuvers. I will keep you posted.
