Ok, How about McKennedyism?

We are severely afflicted with a form of that in California. ;-)

History proved McCarthy right on all counts. It won't happen for these Dem smear merchants.

On Brit Hume's "Special Report" Mort Kondracke (of all people) stated that Teddy Kennedy has been using smear tactics in judicial confirmation hearings since Nixon was President. His behavior is nothing new so it is fair to conclude that the majority of MA residents (the ones that vote for him) find his slimeball behavior acceptable and even commendable.

This whole escapade reminds me of the end of the movie "The Majestic".

Agreed - he was truly the "runt" in the Kennedy litter and continues to prove himself an advertisement for wasted life.

I once posted a question here, "I wonder how it feels knowing that you're the only member of a political family not worth assasinating?"

The enemies of the US plotted and helped murder two of his brothers... Those same enemies know that he's more damaging to the US alive and in power than dead.

Sixty-six years ago, Bishop Clemens von Galen took to the pulpit of Munster Cathedral to damn Hitler's regime at the peak of its power for "plain murder" in its euthanasia program and to direct Catholics to "withdraw ourselves and our faithful from their (Nazi) influence so that we may not be contaminated by their ... ungodly behavior."

Cardinal von Galen is headed for sainthood.

What is asked of you, Cardinal McCarrick, and your fellow bishops is less heroic. Just issue a statement before the 32nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade...

A retired priest told me Cardinal McCarrick won't take "politcal" stands because he is afraid of being blackmailed.

He wouldn't elaborate.

The only good thing that's come out of these hearings is that the Democrats have shown the American public what buffoons they really are.

I feel bad for Sam Alito & his family to have to endure this bulls**t, but it'll be worth it. He's on his way to the Supreme Court.

Good one MarkL - and shows him up to be the mistake he is.
The eldest son had the equipment to be a great man had he not lost his life so early. The lineage suffered until we end up with the Porker.

This who sequence of Democratic pontificating only proves to the public watching they could care less about the public they are supposed to serve - only that they have their hour of fame on a regular basis when the cameras are rolling.

The queries posited to the Judge are a waste of money - and I'd like to know how much the Democrats are costing YET AGAIN the public for all of these mock trials they have put on to get their "issues" to their constituents in a pretense of doing the work they are supposed to be accomplishing.

In fact I would like to know how much the three nominees' mock trials have cost the American people.... anyone know?

>I hate it when Conservatives use the terms McCarthyism or hyphen gate.<

I do, too. Joe McCarthy was absolutely right on, a real hero, God rest his soul.

Pat meant "an officer or active" in the club. he was not referring to military service.
